A Style Recap of Meghan Markle’s Pregnancy

It’s hard to believe that there will soon be a new member of the Royal Family, given that Baby Sussex is due to make his or her arrival any day now. While we anxiously await news of the baby’s birth, we thought it would be fun to look back on all of the times we saw Meghan during her pregnancy with a fun loopback & style poll that we can all collaborate on to pick some of our favourite maternity looks on the Duchess of Sussex.

So, without further ado…

First Trimester Looks

We make our best guess for Meghan’s first trimester to be from around August 2018 through October 2018, and there were some seriously stylish moments during her first few weeks of pregnancy.


Most notable for us around this time was that Meghan and Harry undertook an extensive Tour of Australia, New Zealand, Tonga and Fiji during this time… So we have lots of stylish looks to choose from – which were your favourites?

Second Trimester Looks

During the second trimester, we saw Meghan really come into her pregnancy style, choosing form-fitting and bump flattering pieces.

We think this time showcased how comfortable and happy Meghan was during her second trimester – a time our best guess places from around November 2018 to January 2019.

Third Trimester Looks

As many women who have been through a pregnancy can attest, the third trimester has many elements that make it difficult. The size of the baby pressing on a bladder, or a well-timed kick in the ribs make this time not only exciting for the parents-to-be, but also challenging for many pregnant women… Although Meghan apparently didn’t get that memo.

During the time we estimate to be Meghan’s third trimester (best guess from February 2019 to now, in April 2019) we saw Meghan step out confidently, with beaming smiles on her face whenever we saw the soon-to-be mother.

    How many choices per trimester can I make? At first glance there is no way I can only select 1 per. In the first trimester I’ve already found about 5 that I love 🙂

    Most of my favorite looks were in her first trimester, except the red Sentaler coat (which I hope to see again!). The blue cape gown and the bird cocktail dress were stunning. And I liked a lot of her less formal looks…the sheath dresses, the striped dress she wore on the beach, and the blazers. With respect to her second and third trimester looks, for the most part there were so many fit issues that it was hard to appreciate the clothing. I totally get not wanting to wear a muumuu, but because she generally eschewed maternity wear, there was no room for her bump. It caused a lot of her clothing to pull and bunch. There IS form-fitting/body con maternity wear that at least has some extra fabric to accommodate the bump! So a lot of her later pregnancy fashion was a miss for me and I will be waiting to see what she wears after her maternity leave!
