About Baby Sussex
On Monday, October 15th, 2018 it was announced that the Duchess of Sussex was expecting her first child. Harry and Meghan are expecting the baby – who will be seventh in line to the throne – to arrive in April 2019.
I’m very excited to announced that Meghan. and myself had a baby boy early this morning, a very healthy boy. Mother and baby are doing incredibly well. It’s been the most amazing experience i could ever have possibly imagined. How any woman does what they do is beyond comprehension but we’re both absolutely thrilled and so grateful for all the love and support from everybody out there. It’s been amazing. I just wanted to share this with everybody.
On May 8, 2019, Harry and Meghan spoke to the Press Association, allowing for photographs and a short interview. Later that day, they announced that their son’s name is Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor. At this time, little Archie has no royal title – allowing a more normal childhood and upbringing – but this may change in the future. For right now, we hope little Archie is getting lots of cuddles, especially from Grandma Doria, who has been with Meghan and Harry at Frogmore Cottage to help with their new arrival.
Meghan’s Pregnancy Style
We divided Meghan’s wardrobe for this exciting time into two categories: pregnancy, which includes pieces that are not classified as ‘traditional maternity’ or ‘new mother clothing’ but that Meghan has worn to accommodate her mid-section. The other category is maternity for when she chose to delve into the areas of specialized maternity clothing. We also have some mummy-related accessories that Meghan wore in these lists (and that we’ll possibly see more of, like backpack diaper bags)

Archie’s Style
With parents as stylish as Meghan and Harry, it’s inevitable that Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor will be well dressed! We partnered up with our friends at Melijoe.com to take a peek at some of the amazing baby and kids clothing their site offers from Meghan-loved brands like Balenciaga, Burberry, Chloe and Ralph Lauren.
Gifts for a Royal Baby
Archie is going to have a huge impact on the lives of his family – but given their roles in the British Royal Family, we’ll see them make a mark on the world as a whole as well. We love seeing how the arrival of a royal baby will impact not just Harry and Meghan – but their birth will also enable many donations to charities benefiting those in need. One example is this bespoke souvenir piece, created by Tilletts, of a ‘Meghan Sparkle’, pave-set 925 sterling silver lid, hand-engraved with the flags of the United Kingdom and the United States of America, sized to fit a 125g pot of Sudocrem. The lid is being sold with all the proceeds going to the charity Ickle Pickles, which provides intensive care equipment for premature babies. We love a souvenir with a big impact, and the company is wondering if it’s a gift that will make it’s way into Baby Sussex’s nursery…
