Meghan was spotted leaving the Cape Town Airport today with Archie in hand as they made the trip to Johannesburg, where the remainder of the Royal Tour of South Africa will continue.
Meghan’s look was the usual clean, casual and completely chic airport style we have come to expect whenever she travels.

Meghan also completed a private, poignant and moving visit to a memorial in Cape Town while in the city. Meghan tied a ribbon at the site where 19-year-old Cape Town student Uyinene Mrwetyana was murdered last month, to pay her respects and to show solidarity with those who have taken a stand against gender based violence and femicide. Over the last month in Capetown, protests erupted through the streets in outrage over GBV in South Africa.

People really love her casual look, but I often think it’s too relaxed for the occasion. Most of us don’t wear blue jeans to work. And I find it tends to look messy sometimes as well.

A very simple but poignant gesture and a heartfelt one, lovely. A wicked crime, read the story, words fail me. I wont comment on Meghan’s outfit today.

I love Meghan’s airport style, so fresh and easy. I love seeing her look the same as before she was married, and hopefully in touch with her own self and it’s great she has some old favourites to stick with like the Birdies slippers and the J Crew linen. I’ve been thinking she looks a lot happier in South Africa and would understand if she felt the UK was inclined to be hostile in some quarters..
I thought it was moving that she paid tribute to the murdered student. It was right to bring focus onto GBV and I’m glad they will be speaking on it soon. Thanks for being so prompt with the post.

I think she looks relaxed and chic. Comfortable style. Plus, on this trip it looks as if she is trying to wear items from her closet or reasonably priced pieces. My daughter is a business owner who travels tens of thousands of miles each year often to speak at an event. She dresses similarly and is very successful. Neither she nor the Duchess ever look messy to me.

I love the Birdies “blackbird” slippers. It’s such a shame that Birdies discontinues the style. And doesn’t make any sense, you’d think since Meghan wears them so often they company would want to keep producing them. The “starling” is similar but not the same 🙁

I still mostly like her casual style. I think it was fine for her to wear Jean’s at an unofficial outing. I am not a huge fan of the Madewell top, as I find that anything in the “swing” style (swing tops, swing coats) makes the wearer look pregnant. Even someone as thin as Meghan is. I think her paying tribute to the murdered woman was a very thoughtful gesture, particularly given her dedication to women’s causes.
