Description
Want to wake up and sip your coffee in a Meghan Markle inspired way? Then look no further than the Witchford Mugs from Soho Home – the very ones used at Soho Houses around the world in their locations. Meghan shared a photo of herself sipping from the mug on a trip to Soho House in the UK.
• Handmade and glazed by hand
• Microwave and dishwasher safe
• Whichford is a family business that was founded in 1976
• Used in the cabins at Soho Farmhouse
Whichford pottery is made of highfired stoneware – an extremely durable, impervious clay which is ideal for homeware as it offers a wider range of colours. Whichford use British clays and mix theirs on site to a special recipe and all waste clay is recycled. Each piece of pottery is thrown by hand, before being turned and having handles, spouts etc. attached. It’s then left to dry to a leather-hard consistency, before being painted by hand and left to dry completely. Next comes the bisque firing, followed by waxing. The piece is dipped by hand into a transparent glaze, before a final high temperature firing, which goes up to 1280 degrees resulting in a durable, beautiful piece of pottery.
