Today, Meghan fashion admirers were treated to an unexpected event – photos were released of Meghan Markle arriving at her home in Toronto on Sunday, September 24th after the Opening Ceremonies of the Invictus Games the night before. Meghan was wearing a bright summery red dress by a favoured Canadian designer, Erdem.
The red and white colours and floral pattern on the dress are stunning, and silhouette is one we love seeing on Meghan!
Dress: Erdem Sebla Crepe de Chine Dress
Shoes: Sarah Flint NYC Natalie Flats
The dress is from Spring 2017 and is unfortunately no longer available, however the shoes still are. MM reader Lauri brilliantly remembered that there was a red Erdem dress mentioned in Meghan’s interview with Vanity Fair for their October cover story. Could this be the dress? We like to think so, it would have been perfect for the weather at the time and the casual formality required of an interview at home situation. (Great catch, Lauri!)
Our stylist Audrey is on the case and has found the same Erdem dress in a similar colour wheel if you like that better, as well as various #MirrorMegs!

So, is this the dress described in her Vanity Fair article? I like it except the neckline, I just don’t care for ruffled necklines.

Ooooh, great catch, Lauri! Very well could be – a red Erdem dress. We like to think so! (adding your brilliant catch to the article now – thanks!!)

Why Thank You! *blushes*

It’s a great treat to see Meghan in such a gorgeous print though I’m not myself a big fan of wrap-and-tie styles. I think maybe I’ve had too much trouble in the past keeping the tie secure. This is more the kind of smart/casual I was hoping for at the Invictus closing ceremony, I was a bit sad when that turned out to be quite so laid back; no doubt Harry and Meghan had their own very good reasons. No matter – Meghan always manages to look great whatever!
