One of Meghan Markle’s most asked about photograms from her now-defunct Instagram account (so sad!) was a teatime picture featuring a very cute elephant teapot!
With thanks to MM reader Renee, we discovered that the teapot is from Canadian home decor company Bombay – and is an incredibly affordable piece at only $35CAD!

I love teapots and vintage tea cups with saucers, it’s such a relaxing way to drink tea. Although I will say that my porcelain cups just don’t keep the tea warm so it does have be drank fairly quickly.
Looks like possibly from Novica. I have a red elephant tea pot from them, but mine has to be 10 years old.
Ooooh, very possible! It’s definitely older. We’ll see what we can keep digging up on this lead!
Thanks for sharing!
Here’s one that’s pretty similar.

I have that teapot. It came from Target about 5(?) years ago. It was part of one of their earliest co-branding things.
Wow, Cate, so neat! Can you e-mail us some pics so we can share the ID? I’d appreciate it so much!
The teapot shown is not from her travels. It can be found at Bombay Canada in Toronto. Bombay.ca lists it at $49.00 reg.
Thanks for the tip, Renee! A great Canadian pick 🙂
You’re quite welcome. They have an elephant sugar@ creamer set to go with the creamer. So cute.
Actually the details on the one in MM’s photo and the Canadian link are not the same teapot– the eyes are slightly different and the ears are very different (MM’s has larger, scalloped ears) and appears to be a nicer pot. The other is close and gives you the same general effect, though.
