Prince Harry and Meghan Markle attended the annual Endeavour Fund Awards at Goldsmiths’ Hall this evening. The couple celebrated the achievements of wounded, injured and sick servicemen and woman who have had incredible achievements in sporting and adventure challenges in the past year.
Before the awards, Meghan and Harry had the chance to meet with several special guests at a meet and greet prior to the Awards Ceremony.
Meghan also presented the the Celebrating Excellence Award to winner Daniel Claricoates.
It was a semi-formal event, and Meghan surprised us all and looked gorgeous in a perfect suit by Alexander McQueen.

Meghan looks wonderful & brilliant she’s stepping out in tailored pants, the options for these are wide open given other Windsor ladies rarely use them. Very diplomat too to avoid a dress and sparkle when Kate at high profile royal dinner in Norway. Both women are wearing McQueen which feels sisterly, and considerate of Meghan given It’s the Cambridge trip reschedule which clashed with Meghan’s date, nor the other way round. I agree Iris, slate grey would look great on Harry. And yeah, black would have given the “couple that dresses alike” vibe.
I will admit part of me was hoping she would wear a dress, just so I could see what her dress game looked like, but after seeing this outfit I’m so glad she didn’t. This outfit is perfect!!! Very chic, professional and didn’t detract from the award recipients one bit. Definitely an outfit I would love to wear and will probably try to Mirror-Meg with what I have in my wardrobe.
Plus how great that she awarded the Excellence award!!! I loved watching the little blip with the nominee list, she handled it very well. I have a feeling that we are seeing a new breed of royal woman, confident, well spoken and true to her own sense of style and being, it’s so exciting!!

There was a lot of confusion initially about the shoes – the Jimmy Choo Romy and the Manolo BB are so close. It was only after HQ pics came out that @WhatMegWore on Twitter was able to distinguish a logo on the sole of the shoe that final confirmation was available.

at the beginning i was expecting a dress but finally tonight’s outfit was beautiful i love everything from head to toe

Megan looks wonderful but what bothers me is that she constantly “pushes her hair to the side” or “touches her hair”. Your never see the Duchess do that. Do something with your hair and get rid of that “bun” because it really does not look classy. It may look classy now since you are not part of the monarchy but I would hold you to the utmost once married to Prince Harry.
What? Kate CONSTANTLY touches her hair and tucks it behind her ears. Less so since she got a haircut but there are dozens of pictures of her fussing with it.
Not to mention that there was an enormous kerfuffle because one of the times she was futzing with her hair was during a war remembrance event and people thought it was disrespectful. But it is just a tic that a lot of women with long hair do, Meghan AND Kate (and myself) included.
Kate did a lot of that in her early days. I’m sure that the peculiarity of launching into royal life would lead anyone with long enough her to touch it out of nervousness and even hide behind it. Kudos to Meghan for being willing to take on such a role
The hair touching doesn’t bother me. It seems like every event, outing or occasion Meghan attends, she becomes increasingly more confident in her new role and we will see less fussing with her hair with time. I really appreciated that she and Harry toned down the tactile touching out of respect for the event. The hand/arm holding is fine but not for a formal event where they aren’t the people being honored. I’m really enjoying the conversations/debates on this blog, does anyone know when Prince Harry and Meghan are scheduled for another event??
I was glad to see Meghan had been able to stop hanging on to Harry for dear life. Must be a bit unsettling though, he’s the one familiar thing she has in a strange land.
I agree with the arm clutching, I am happy to see that come to an end. But disagree with the fact that she is in a strange land and is uncomfortable; she travels quite a bit and after all she is an actress accustomed to “red carpet” entrances. I do like the suit and pumps.
I really just meant that a land can look a lot stranger once you become resident there than when you’re visitor. I speak from some small experience here. And I think the level of scrutiny as a royal has come as a surprise to her, even with all her own experience. I think she said as much in the engagement interview.

Meghan has a royally Leadership approach: she is a “woman who works, not a lady who parties” when it comes to duties, and towards dressing, she does it in appropriate way: very nice , very elegant and very professional. She is the people princess, not like a royal dull . Princess nowadays are working princess, just like their prince. Meghan is beautiful, brilliant, lovely, dutiful, accomplished, sophisticated, down-t-earth and confidently a Pro ! Even Queen Elizabeth knows that very well. Meghan is a significant addition to the BRF. She is a natural Leader, God bless Prince Harry and his beautiful Princess Meghan! The perfect match.

Love the umbrella. I wondered if you’ve been able to ID it yet, or can suggest something similar?

The closest we’ve been able to find is from Fox Umbrellas, it’s very much like their GM Gents umbrella. The cover is close to their Light Grey Polyester 025. However, although it is very similar, the tip of the umbrella does not appear to be from Fox. The handle resembles their GM1 / GT1 Handle, but doesn’t come in that combination.
