I’m a little torn on Duchess Meghan’s outfit. I always love her in white, and I like that it’s shorter with a younger feel than her frequent midi dress looks, but there’s something about the cut of the dress that just doesn’t quite work. Perhaps it should have had sleeves? Either full or 3/4 length….
It’s possible this was made and fitted for her before her baby Sussex bump started to grow, but I think the midsection is what throws off the shape of the dress.
Otherwise, the Navy Manolos are nice and a way of getting out of the black pump look, and her updo is lovely with the dress and highlights her nice neck.
For me, it’s not one of my top looks of the tour, but it’s interesting and I applaud her for taking some fashion risks during this pregnancy 🙂

I’ve never paid much attention to tuxedo dresses before but after seeing Meghan wearing them several times now I’m starting to take a second look. They seem both elegant and fun at the same time with the lapels and buttons adding visual interest. Like the one Meghan’s wearing, a shorter length is the best for this type of dress. Also, it’s sexy in the way it seems that the wearer is actually wearing their significant other’s jacket and who doesn’t love wearing some of their mans oversize sweaters or button downs from time to time?
Seeing Meghan recent wardrobe choices gives me hope that she’ll have a very stylish pregnancy! I don’t know why some designers insist on dressing pregnant women like toddlers, all covered in ruffles and bows, pussy bows and Peter Pan collars, ugh! We may have temporarily lost our figures but not our minds 🙂

The shape of the dress is kind of weird but that’s the chance one takes when wearing clothes that are not especially cut for a baby bump. You get pulling and seams out of place. Short aline or flared skirts are a youthful look and I’m not sure if I like this dress when she has her hands in the pockets. Navy blue pumps, okay.

Hands in the pockets is very impolite where I come from. So I wish she would stop it.

I agree with others about the shape of the dress. For me it is the way the skirt is structured so that it flares out. If it were a straight skirt it would be better, imo.
Jen says
Dress is hideous , looks like cheap tuxedo cut in half and a nurse uniform .. I don’t think she dresses chic ! Who would follow this??

Holy cats, for someone who doesn’t like Meghan, you spend an inordinate amount of time obsessing about her. I suggest a more productive hobby.

She really does love that tuxedo look! The dress does not fit properly, but we have to give her a break, travelling in early pregnancy is probably throwing everything off. I’m glad she went with a sleeveless version because the sleeves on the original are pretty awful. Personally I find white coats hard to wear without looking like a doctor or pharmacist and as with her earlier choice am not sure she quite pulls it off here.
