It’s the end of a (social media) era.
Today, Meghan Markle shut down her Twitter, Instagram and Facebook pages. While this is absolutely not unexpected, the timing of the closures (right after the Brixton engagement) was a surprise. It marks the end of Meghan’s private social media and the début of her Royal one (through Kensington Palace). We’ll always remember gems like this:
We are sad that Meghan’s social media platforms were taken down, if for no other reason than it felt like we could still connect to the real Meghan. We could see what she eats, buys, wears, does, etc. and made her so relatable to many.
Her social media accounts may be gone… But they will certainly live on! We have many of them saved through our archives, and we’ve been identifying items from them on the blog for a long time. Here are a handful of our favourites:

Of course you’re not. Unfortunately, in my country I found out about Meghan a few days before her wedding to Harry and that’s why I had to look for her posts on the Internet. I wanted to get to know her better and form my own opinion about her, and not just rely on the British press. And I think that, unfortunately, I missed a lot of her life because of it. I really regret that I didn’t know her earlier.
I made a diary of the posts I found, I would like it to be 100% complete one day, but unfortunately I am missing several dozen posts. Unfortunately, most of them are missing recordings from her Instagram. My posts from thetigofficial on Instagram are also incomplete. And I don’t have her Facebook or Twitter at all. So I’m the crazy one with my MM journal ❤

@Tecla – would you share those pictures with me too, please? I’ve grown very fond of browsing through her instagram (the Tig as well) for inspiration and good mood. I figured she might close her personal account but I was hoping the blog would remain opened. Kind of miss the happy and inspiring photos she had on both.
@Tecla – I would also love if you could share your pictures with me as well! I was kicking myself that I didn’t save Meghan’s instagram posts before she shut it down. I’ve definitely been missing browsing through them and reading her uplifting words (and getting style tips from her!!).
