In an in-depth two-hour special on Sunday evening, Oprah spoke with Meghan, The Duchess of Sussex, in a wide-ranging interview. The interview covered everything from stepping into life as a Royal, marriage, motherhood and philanthropic work, to how Meghan is handling life under intense public pressure. Later, the two were joined by Prince Harry as they spoke about their move to the United States and their future hopes and dreams for their expanding family.
In opening and closing clips in their interview with Oprah, we see Meghan and Harry in their chicken coop – or Archie’s Chick Inn, as it is called! – and playing on the beach with their dogs. Although these clips are blurry, we are able to share some fashion finds!
Meghan’s look for the sit-down interview with Oprah was as refined and subdued as we expected for this emotionally charged interview. She paired her new dress with pieces we have seen before – like her Pippa Small necklace – and heirloom pieces, like Diana’s bracelet.
Dress: Long Silk-Georgette Gown by Armani
Heels: Aquazzura ‘Purist’ 105 Black Pumps
Bracelets: Princess Diana’s Diamond Bracelet & Cartier Bangle
Necklace: Pippa Small ‘Colette’ Necklace

We also saw a casual Meghan – and Harry – with their rescue hens. Meghan was definitely embracing the “Chick Inn” casual vibe with a J.Crew coat and Hunter boots.
Jacket: J.Crew Perfect Lightweight Jacket
Blouse: Possibly Aritzia, TBC
Boots: Hunter Tall Boots
Earrings: Small Hoop Earrings, TBC
Earrings: Initial ‘A’ Necklace
Sweatshirt: Heidi Merrick SRF LA Hoodie
Hat: Possibly J. Crew
Sneakers: Nike, style TBC

Meghan has always been a fashion and humanitarian icon.Love her style. She brought glamour and chic into the boring Royal family..The haters are gloomy drunken slobs who have lost their status in life.

Meghan looks gorgeous as always. She has wonderful, effortless style. Her hair is up in her familiar chignon with side tendrils. I love her soft, blush lip color contrasted by dark, smoky eyes. The white lotus flower on the top right shoulder of the dress is everything. I thought the flower signified rebirth, and that’s confirmed by a recent article in People. The lotus symbolizes revival and resilience.
I didn’t realize Meg was wearing the diamond tennis bracelet of Diana’s from which Harry had obtained two stones for Meghan’s engagement ring. The Carrier love bracelet combined with Diana’s diamond bracelet are so to-die-for!
There’s also a thin strand third bracelet on Meghan’s left wrist in photos. I don’t see that one identified.
Mia says
Speaking of the white lotus flower on the black Armani dress, it’s so fitting that Meghan’s Mom’s nickname for her is, ‘Flower.’ Thus both Diana and Doria are being reflected, which is cool.
The Armani dress is made of Georgette, a lightweight, crepe fabric.
Another thing I noticed is that Diana’s diamond tennis bracelet was originally two attached bracelet. I suppose one of the attachments was used to extract two diamonds for the engagement ring. And so Meg only wears the remaining untouched diamond bracelet strand.
Mia says
Actually, Diana’s diamond bracelet had three strands, not two…
More on significance of the lotus flower:
https://thevalleynewspaper.com/meghan-markles-outfit-for-oprahs-interview-has-a-symbolic-meaning/
http://www.lotusflowermeaning.net/white.php
“The central heart of the Lotus also has a symbolic meaning as it is thought to be pure, therefore people of good heart and soul should strive to reach the beauty of the fully opened white Lotus flower heart.”
In addition:
“The white Lotus has long been symbolic in Hinduism and Buddhism. It is very easy to see why this is the case as it is a beautiful flower, which usually emerges in a pristine condition from the murkiest of waters.”
Plus, I recall that Meghan said this during her 2018 appearance at the British Fashion Awards:
“We have a deep connection to what we wear. Sometimes it’s very personal and sometimes it’s emotional. But for me this connection is rooted in really being able to understand that [what we wear is] about supporting and empowering each other, especially as women. When we choose to wear a certain designer, [our choice is] not just a reflection of their creativity and their vision, it’s also a reflection of their values — of something that is ‘in the fabric’, so to speak, that is much more meaningful.”

Mia, you are amazing!! I love all your in depth comments.

I’m also wondering if there is a special significance behind her necklace. Perhaps the 3 teardrops represent their family and the small gold is a tribute to their rainbow baby. Aquamarine is the birthstone for March, – perhaps in memory of the due date.

Beautiful necklace.
Mia, thanks for including Meghan’s quote in your comment. It really gave me an understanding of how she chooses what to wear. A lot of thought goes into that. She is a great example of how women should support and empower each other (instead of cowardly hiding behind a screen being jealous or petty and dragging each other through the mud in social media).
DC, after reading Meghan’s quote on fashion, I agree with you about the necklace. There might be a special significance behind it – so sweet 🙂

I think the sneakers are the Nike Air Zoom Pegasus 37 😉
