While we will still see Meghan Markle, technically, on the red carpet at royal events in the future, we will not see her gracing events as an actress. Too bad for us since we loved her red carpet looks from years gone by. We thought we’d dive into a Meghan’s Mirror “Her 5 Best” series recap of Meghan Markle’s 5 Best Red Carpet Looks from the past as we wait for a royal walk down the carpet.
Meghan has attended numerous red carpet events, but we did the hard work of narrowing the field down to 5 of our favourite looks to share with you.
ELLE’s Annual Women In Television Dinner – 2016
In a burgundy brocade dress with a matching lip, Meghan mixed it up with this look from her everyday monochromatic look. We love that she favours bold patterns and colours for her “je ne said quoi” to outfits.
Dress: Dolce & Gabbana Jacquard A-Line Dress
Shoes: Aquazzura Matilde Sandals in Black

CFDA Fashion Fund Awards – 2015
Call it a golden girl look… We loved how Meghan paired a dress from friend Misha Nonoo’s collection to shine bright at the 2015 CFDA Fashion Fund Awards.
Dress: Misha Nonoo Liquid Metal Valerie Dress
Shoes: Gianvito Rossi Black & PVC Pumps

Isabella Blow Foundation’s Fashion Blows – 2014
Another stunning gown for Meghan, this time in a draping fabric that perfectly accentuates her slim, toned physique.

Elton John AIDS Foundation’s Benefit – 2014
Loving the regal jewel colour of this gown, as well as the interesting visual detail of the neckline. This look also marked one of the few times Meghan put her hair back.
Dress: Roland Mouret Rosata Gown

Step It Up for Gender Equality Celebration – 2015
Easily an iconic Meghan Markle look with a matching black shirt and skirt combo in a classic wide neckline.

Oh my goodness your pasts are coming thick and fast! Thanks so much for all your hard work. I managed to miss out on the 2017 review because – duh! – I failed to scroll to the end to find all the comments. Truly a very sad case.
That said my fave pick from that post was the Berardi Ruffle Mid worn to Harry’s polo match. though the Christmas lunch Portrait dress comes a close second.
And your shoes post was epic, how amazing to have that pic to do all that research from. You really look like the quality site for all things Meghan <3
As for red carpet looks, I'm not a fan of those shorter frocks Meghan wore as they seemed wrong for her proportions, too much bulk on the torso and too little on those very slim pins. However, they were for a different lifestyle and did the job for a working actress.
So I favour the full-length numbers — distinctly more royal-friendly — and in particular the deep red Burberry Prorsum. It's a new one on me, though as recorded above, I'm not the world's best at paying attention.
So while I'm catching up on things I seem to have missed, can I also wish everyone a Happy New Year?!!

Hi Bertie! Happy New Year to you and yours!
I agree that Meghan needs to be careful about clothes that add bulk to the torso, she has a fairly straight figure so clothes that nip in at the waist provide her with the illusion of having more of a waist then she has.
Oh I wish that we could have gotten better photos of the Berardi Ruffle Mid dress!! It looked very pretty but the photos were so grainy and that railing got in the way of me being able to get a good look at the entire dress.

I think Meghan herself discusses her shape problems, in a piece somewhere about how her Suits outfits helped her discover fresh alternatives. Agree it was soo frustrating about those Berardi pics!

Good morning MM! thanks for such a fun post! My favorite is the teal Roland Mouret Rosata Gown, that color is fabulous on her and is that the tip of a rose gold colored shoe I see peeking out? What a great combination if it is!!! The black Flo Stretch-Sateen dress by Preen for Thornton Bregazzi, which I think suits her style and body shape perfectly, is my second favorite. She looks very comfortable and very “Meghan” in this dress, plus I love that she painted her toe nails!! My least favorite is the silver Misha Nonoo Liquid Metal Valerie Dress, the wide open bodice isn’t a good look on anyone, imho.

You’re right about that Misha Nonoo neckline – it really has a way of minimising a girl’s assets :-/
