Cooler temperatures mean a lot of things – warm, spicy lattes, cozy sweaters, cute coats, and boots, boots, boots. Here at Meghan’s Mirror, we love boot season. Every year, we look for a new on-trend boot style to inspire our cold weather outfits. Luckily, Meghan Markle provided the ultimate inspiration in January 2018 on a trip to Wales.
Meghan rocked these edgy velvet Tabitha Simmons boots with an all-black ensemble, allowing the texture of the boots to add a subtle pop. The chunky heel and elegant almond-shaped toe created a very modern-looking boot, but the low height makes this style super manageable. Add jeans and a chunky sweater and you can easily run all of your errands, and meet your Prince Charming for dinner afterwards, without sore feet at the end of the day.
Meghan Markle’s boots will set you back $825, but our stylist has selected some alternative styles – from velvet to bronze to suede – that will keep you comfortable, super-chic, and warm all winter long.
If that style is a little too daring for your wardrobe, check out our stylist’s other picks for the perfect black suede ankle boots, inspired by Meghan Markle:

Oh my goodness, I love these booties!!! The velvet fabric just makes them extra special and as you said MM, adds a bit of pop to any look. I’m actually taking a hard look at the Nixie bootie, very similar to Meghan’s but with a bit lower heel and of course much more affordable 🙂 I have to say though I’m rather torn between the black or the navy blue…mmmm…I’ve been on a bit of a navy blue kick lately and would love to have a pair of navy booties but I hate to think that I might only wear them for one season. Such a quandary, what to do, what to do??
Thanks MM for such a great Saturday afternoon post!!! And thanks to your super stylist crew for all the great ideas!!
