Today, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex attended ‘100 Days To Peace’, a gala concert in aid of mental health charities supported by the Duke of Sussex at Central Hall Westminster in London.
The evening of music and reflection to mark the centenary of the last 100 days of First World War hostilities includes Sir Karl Jenkins conducting his internationally acclaimed work “The Armed Man: A Mass for Peace“, performed by the Royal Choral Society and the Philharmonia Orchestra.
Meghan wore a royal blue dress for the evening, which was a colourful selection for her! The simple sheath dress had a subtle flair to with the addition of the pleats and seam detailing on the front, although the fit was perhaps a little miscalculated as several angles of the photos were not all as flattering as the dress itself. And THOSE SHOES. We love the bejewelled Aquazzura shoes!
Heels: Aquazzura Portrait of a Lady Pumps
Earrings: Birks Snowflake Snowstorm Earrings
Dress: Bespoke Royal Blue Sleeveless Jason Wu Dress
Clutch: Navy Dior Clutch

That color! I love it!
Not crazy about the shoes as I do not like neither bling nor slingbacks (is it called that?), but to each their own.
More of this please!
OG SG says
The dress is OK…I mean, it is a basic sleeveless sheath so it is fine, but boring. I really like the shoes but they are the wrong shade of blue. They are not the right shade to match, and they are too close to the shade to be a nice contrast. They’d probably look great with her navy Mouret.

Well, she’s not wearing black so the color is a nice change. The dress hangs funny as if it is not pressed properly? The front of the dress is odd, is it static cling? Her hair is gorgeous, a nice respite from the MMB (Meghan Messy Bun). I like the bling on the slings! Maybe the addition of a bracelet to accent the bling on the shoes? Again changing it up from her standard suede shoe. But I do not know how one walks in those spikey heels especially on cobblestones!
Deborah Lorenzen says
I know this is Meghan’s Mirror but Harry’s tie with that blue suit looks pretty bad. Maybe it’s the lighting but it looks gray and it doesn’t go coordinate with the blue all.
Natat says
Was about to comment how much I like his suit/tie combo. I love the tie colour.
Madison Mile says
Many of you called it in the Duchess’ last outfit post, but here we have her wearing color, and a glorious color it is. I love the shade of blue, and the Aquazurra blue slingbacks are divine! However, I did notice they were not exactly the shame shade as the dress, I still think they work in photos and probably in person they were even more stunning with the jewel detail on the strap.
I can see how the front detail of the dress did not always translate well in photos, but otherwise, I love the cut and length on her. The clutch and accessories were chic and understated as usual.
And as for the hair, WOW – what a beautiful blow out and Veronica Lake curls. It’s so glossy and smooth and makes her look even more beautiful than she already is.
Deborah Lorenzen says
I stand corrected, after viewing additional photos and angles it appears the front of the dress features a row of cascading ruffles.

Love this
Vivi says
That dress drapes so weirdly at the front it almost makes her look pregnant but the color really is perfect.
Lady Di says
Meghan’s clothes are more often than not a “win”. While I like the colour–and the shoes!–(I adore sling-backs) the fit is atrocious. It does her slim, petite frame no favours, IMO.
Lisa says
Hair and make up are on point. However, something is off with the top half of the dress and the shoe color doesn’t work in my opinion.

This seems like a dress that doesn’t photograph well but probably looks lovely in motion. Could we get a MirrorMeg for those incredible Birks earrings? I covet them but don’t have $12K lying around!
Christine | Editor of Meghan's Mirror says
We really love these at a MirrorMeg option, they’re only $30 and the closest match we’ve found! http://bit.ly/2OjZ8Vl

Thank you!
Amy Bee says
There was nothing wrong with the fit and the dress has ruffles down the front not pleats. From one side the dress didn’t photograph well but front on and right side the dress looked great.
Amy Bee says
I’ll also add that from the back you can see that it is a form fitting dress.
I’m surprised no-one criticising her for wearing such a figure hugging dress.
lawmom says
The color is nice, the shoes are good, the hair is good, make-up good (as always). But that dress looks *not good* in every picture I’ve seen. The ruffles are a hard no. I can’t believe it is bespoke.
Stacey-Ann Ashmore says
It is a beautiful dress with an excellent fit on her but does not photograph well from certain angles.
Karen says
She is a beautiful woman and the color should be repeated. However the dress should be burned. It does her no favors. Having made a living as a photo stylist for over 20 years I can safely say she needs to get a stylist that better understands photography and the function of the clothes.
Courtney says
It’s a glorious colour which looks amazing on her, but I’m in the camp of the ruffles are very unflattering. If they were a different colour (darker shade of the same for instance) I feel like it would have given the tabloid media the headlines they’re currently spouting.
Not 21 says
I agree with the other comments that this color is spectacular for Meghan. I like the complementary shoes (the color was halfway between the cobalt dress and the navy bag). I think the dress is really beautiful and probably looked amazing in person. Meghan should be able to rely on her stylist and the designer, Jason Wu, to anticipate that the ruffled front would be challenging to convey in photographs (maybe they did and didn’t care). Most of all, I feel this was a great choice for an evening event that is both celebratory and serious.
Amy Bee says
I honestly think she doesn’t care how her clothes photograph.
patrice says
Those shoes are divine…I adore them.
Esther Barry says
The duchess of Sussex is perfect in the royal blue dress, absolutely beautiful, elegant and naturally royal. Duchess Meghan is a naturally beautiful woman, gorgeous and perfect.
Both look absolutely amazing together. A very lovely royal couple. Bravo!
Cass says
Wow, her hair so glossy and glam. Dress is just okay, she looks great though.
