For one of their final events on the South African tour, Meghan and Harry met with Graça Michel, the widow of Nelson Mandela. They attended a local reception with community members, and ended their successful South African tour on a diplomatic note as they met with South Africa’s President Cyril Ramaphosa.
Meghan wore a familiar trench dress from Canadian brand House of Nonie – the Duchess first wore the dress last July to a Nelson Mandela memorial event. It seems incredibly fitting that she wore the dress again today. She accessorized with simple jewelry and shoes to complete the look.
Dress: House of Nonie Trench Dress
Heels: Stuart Weitzman ‘Legend’ Pumps

What did you think of Meghan’s final look on the South African tour?

I guess the shirt dress is her new uniform. Only thing that changes is the length, color, sleeves and belt/or no belt.
On a separate note, Graca looks amazing!

If she must wear another trench dress, I’m glad she didn’t spend money on a new one. I like this dress as in the previous wear and it fits well. Again, she could’ve worn leopard print shoes as someone commented yesterday. I like Meghan’s updo. Overall, she looks elegant and beautiful.
I must also add that it seems like Meghan purposefully wants the world to not focus on her clothes at all on this trip. I am rather apprehensive about what she will wear tonight. Something tells me it might be an elegant, but not a glamorous event with all this media coverage of a country where people are living in such poverty. This is not Australia. Hopefully she has found something gorgeous that is not haute couture.

As much as I love seeing what Meghan wears (which is why I always visit this site), I agree that her clothes aren’t the focus of this trip. She is dressed appropriately for all of the events. The connections that she and Harry are making with the people outshine her outfits. And I believe that’s the point. There will be many more outings where we will get to see more “exciting” outfits. In the meantime, I am enjoying the smiles and hugs in the photos.

How many beige shirt/trenchcoat dresses does Meghan own?

The Duchess looks appropriately dressed. This dress fits her well, the colour is pretty. Love her hair pulled back off her face. Have to add how beautiful Graca looked, her dress was beautiful and gorgeous colour.

I was just braced to declare myself all trenched-out when I happened to catch sight of the Duchess of Cambridge. Apologies for bringing another royal into the frame but when I saw the vivid emerald of Kate’s flowing gown I began to wonder. These two have been conducting an occasional quiet double-act for a little while, starting with the night they both stepped out in McQueen, Kate all a-glitter at a state dinner in Norway, while Meghan did uber-chic in an all-black crop-pant suit. Clever side-step from the spotlight by Meghan, or what?.
But back to the dear old trenches, I do have to say it amazes me how different Meghan looks each time. This has to be a masterclass in subtle styling as we go from a relatively boxy Banana Republic, to city-chic Room 502, followed by a romantic interlude with flowing white House of Nonie, a name now repeated in this this last outing. And I have to say this blush-pink Nonie dress is a total fave of mine, it doesn’t actually matter how many times she wears it I still love it as much. It’s just beautifully fitted and elegant, and so unquestionably smart with its double-breasted buttons, high collar and the rain-shield effect on one asymmetric shoulder only — and a complete departure from the dreamy white dress worn earlier despite being broadly the same style.
Still, I’d be very sorry if couture, colour, and style variety have now taken a back seat for good. I would have thought it robs the causes Meghan endorses of greater publicity from a seriously popular outfit. I’m also mindful however of the statement the Sussexes issued today and am so so sorry they have been driven to this.

I believe she has selected this kind of outfits because they’re practical when breastfeeding between engagements. Meghan has made me fall in love with shirt dresses and I love how she has dressed down during this tour,, selecting outfits an average woman can see herself wearing. It makes Meghan feel approachable.

Her hair looks gorgeous but I find this look pretty boring. The trench dress actually fits her better since its last outing, since she is a bit curvier now. But the hated-by-me nude pumps definitely don’t do anything for this look, and it seems a little casual compared to the outfits worn just by the other women in this picture (Ms. Michel’s dress is fab, and I quite like the look of the woman in the background with her kicky red shoes). I would have really liked to see her deploy another dress that had a nod to the vivid colors and fabrics in African fashion at this particular event.

;I’m waiting to see what Meghan wears to the receipt this evening.. I hope it is more dressy for the occasions..

I wish the earrings were a bit larger! I love turquoise! I really like Ms Michel’s dress!

This has been my favourite tour that the Duke and Duchess have taken thus far. From the beginning this has felt and looked different from their previous tours. I have actually felt as if I was right there with them the whole time. From shining a light on the need to help, support and uplift communities that are facing many difficult issues such as poverty, lack of education, violence, to the way that both the Duke and Duchess have just radiated happiness throughout this tour has been incredible to be a part of. I also have never seen the Duchess look better. Her hair, skin, superb. The understated, elegant way she has dressed have made the focus of this tour what it should be- on the people and communities that they visited. My thoughts and prayers are with them as they stand up to put an end to the vicious, evil, disgusting bullying that the Duchess has unnecessarily had to endure over the course of her engagement and marriage to the Duke. I especially applaud the Duke and cannot imagine how painful this has been for him. I pray that they will continue to shine even brighter in the days ahead.

I would like to add how superbly the Sussexes represented the Queen on this tour. I was surprised to learn through Meghan and Harry’s speeches how much financial assistance the Queen had been providing to charities in the Commonwealth through the Queen’s Commonwealth Trust. Meghan’s skills in effective communication was the result of that. Meghan is excellent at communicating results! The queen must be very proud..
The image of the royals is that of them smiling and shaking hands, not of people who do substantive work. I am aware of Prince Charles’ contributions through The Prince’s Trust and I often wonder why he is not recognized for them. I know that Princess Anne also has her own foundation, but I have no idea what it does. Considering her strong work ethic, I imagine her contributions must be substantive. If those accomplishments were communicated well to the public through a gifted communicator with a high profile like Meghan, it would show that the Royals are not just figureheads.
