What did you think of Meghan’s look for the the second look of the first day of the Royal Tour Australia?
JMAE says
I kinda wish she wore the red version. I remember this dress from the runaway show and thought it looked like something Meghan would wear. It also looked nice with the gold belt they paired it with.

Love it, although some more color would’ve been nice. It’s such a cool dress anyway. And Diana’s jewelry is an amazing touch.
As a sidenote, I love visiting this website but it can be frustrating because it tends to load much more slowly than other websites, even ones with a lot of pictures. I wouldn’t want that to limit your traffic (unless it’s just me)!
Valeria says
I totally agree with your comment…website loads very slowwwwwww!!!
admin says
Oh no! We’re experiencing very high spikes of traffic which cause the site to load slower at times. We’ll reach out to our host and see if there is anything we can do.
Thanks for letting us know!

Hi MM, I’ve noticed this too, even when there’s no new post. And it takes quite awhile for my comments to post. But neither of those things is gonna stop my from coming here ?

I like that the Duchess is wearing a slightly unusual color – this deep olive green. The gold button accents and the pleat detail at the waist and the longer pleats on the bottom of the dress make this a winner dress for me.
The fact that she choose two of Diana’s vintage jewelry pieces that work perfectly as chic, simple and unexpected touches to the dress is such a “Meghan” style choice. I have a feeling they give the Duchess a calm energy feeling. So nice!
She has on a bit more makeup than usual, but it’s already been a very long two days and I have a feeling this was chosen to help her look a bit more “awake” and fresh with the schedule she’s keeping and for a full day of photos.
Lauri says
Thanks for bringing up the Duchess’ makeup Madison, I’ve noticed that in some photos of Meghan over the last year it seems like she’s wearing a ton of blush but then in other photos taken the same day it looks like she’s barely wearing any. I don’t know if it’s caused by the ambient lighting, shadows or what but it seems odd to me that someone so stylish would cake on so much makeup.

There was a picture of her getting out of the car at Eugenie’s wedding – it’s shot from the side – and I thought it was the Duchess of Cambridge. There might be Duchess blush school!
I like the outfit, but am disappointed with the shoe game (plain nude pumps, really?!). I’d die for an on-trend cowboy bootie, but would settle for a richer brown shoe and shorter hemline.
Aside – the website is much faster, thank goodness!

Buenas tardes,

I think the red color would have been a better choice especially with blue jewels in the earrings and bracelet (which I love by the way.) Also, the dress was shown on the runway with a gold belt that accented the gold buttons; a nice touch I agree with JMAE on this point. Again the nude pumps…

The color is good on her and she looks lovely and glowing. I like the general idea of the dress, although I think it is too long. I am really not a fan of dresses that long unless it is an actual gown. I think it would have looked better as a midi length. And ANOTHER pair of nude shoes, ugh. She is not even wearing the same pair as she did with the white dress so it is not even a matter of saving luggage space!
Deborah A. Lorenzen says
This dress is too long on her! Of course, it is much shorter on the runway model, mid-calf, but the model is probably 6 foot tall! This would be a nightmare to alter with all the pleats! I’m not a fan of this 1950’s “Donna Reed” housewife look with the full skirts (circle or pleated), and the shirtwaist bodice. I liked her white dress earlier in the day: MM is a young woman and the white dress was Contemporary and fresh.

When do you anticipate having mirror this look posted for the green dress?
Christine | Editor of Meghan's Mirror says
Hi Kim! Due to the unique style of the dress, we are finding it very difficult to source MirrorMegs. We did find this vintage style that would work: http://bit.ly/2O508vm Hope it’s your size!

I figured this one was going to be difficult. Absolutely love the dress! Thanks for getting back to me.
