Meghan and Harry attended the Coach Core Awards today at Loughborough University.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex travelled by train to the event, where they met with those involved in the Royal Foundation’s Coach Core program, an initiative using sport to empower those not in education or employment.
Meghan presented the award for ‘Graduate of the Year’ to Sebastian Vidal in the Awards section of the event.
Meghan’s look was gorgeous, with a ruffled navy blue Oscar de la Renta top as the showcase piece. It must have been challenging to pick an outfit that was both appropriate for a casual sporting session as well as an awards presentation, and we think Meghan handled the fashion challenge well.
Heels: Aquazzura “Simply Irresistible” 105 Black Pumps
Blouse: Oscar de la Renta Draped Blouse
Necklace: Pascale Monvoisin Cauri Necklace
Rings: Catbird Threadbare Rings
Trousers: Altuzarra “Serge” Trousers

Love it! Perfect…
Not That Kate says
I wish she’d wear sneakers to events like this!
Kate always looks awesome but still poised when she does these athletic events and rocks sneakers.
Madison Mile says
The Duchess looks chic AND relaxed…not easy to do! The navy top has a nice amount of detail in front to make it look special but not too overdone for the athletic event. She’s able to move and have fun in the pant and heels. It’s another winner! I love the straighter blowout for her hair she’s chosen for the occasion as well.

I’m with Not That Kate – the top is lovely and the outfit flatters Meghan. It’s in “her” color palette and she looks like herself. But the pointy-toed stilettos on the court are just not practical – or necessary. I’m confident that over time Meghan will feel more relaxed in her role and rock some more casual footwear.

I think this outfit is a bit overdone for a casual event in a gymnasium. Although I like the top, the blue and black together look a little bland. But the choice of footwear – it’s impractical for Meghan to step on the slippery surface of a basketball/volleyball court wearing stilettos! If she is so confident in her femininity she can certainly sacrifice 4″ of height for comfort and safety! Athletic shoes are really “in” now so it’s certainly not a fashion issue. Even a cute bootie with a lower chunky heel would have looked great! Maybe she just doesn’t want to hem her trousers LOL.
Imogen says
Wearing stilettos is usually (always?) forbidden in gyms as they damage the floor. This was an event where I would have said wearing flat shoes was almost compulsory. Meghan used to wear interesting flats a great deal and trainers are very fashionable now. I do find this adherence to high heels even when highly appropriate very strange.

I LOVE this outfit. I think navy and black together are very chic. But the whole look is totally inappropriate for a sporty event where everyone else is wearing track pants and T-shirt. Even Harry is a bit overdressed.
Lisa says
While I love the top, I feel like she’s a little overdressed for the event. Would love to see her in a non-pointy shoe.
Pucky says
Not a fan of the blouse…..it swamps her. The proportions of it with the pants are weirdly off..
However, the black Givenchy dress for the Oceania opening is total perfection!!!!
