Today, Meghan and Harry celebrated the official launch of her collaboration with the Hubb Community Kitchen at an event launching the bestselling cookbook, ‘Together: Our Community Cookbook“. A nice surprise was that her mother, Doria, accompanied the couple.
It was of no surprise to those who have followed Meghan to see her immerse herself into a project combining two things she is passionate about: cooking and charitable endeavours. The cookbook’s proceeds will allow the community kitchen to open seven days a week rather than the two the kitchen currently able to.
It was also great to see Doria in London supporting her daughter. Doria had a very inspiring message when she was leaving the event, commenting on the power of women.
“We make things happen. We’re curious, we say yes, we show up. I’m inspired.”
Like mother, like daughter it seems! Doria was in a gorgeous camel outfit – which we’re still working on identifying for those curious! She was obviously extremely proud to share in this moment with her daughter and son-in-law.
Meghan’s look was a blend of classic and colourful – we loved the pop of colour with a blue coat by Smythe mixing up the all-black ensemble underneath.
Coat: Smythe Wool Button-Front Coat
Skirt: Misha Nonoo ‘Saturday’ Skirt
Shoes: Sarah Flint Jay Pump
Top: Tuxe Bodywear Renegade Top
Ring: Catbird NYC Threadbare Rings
Curious about what Meghan wore in the cookbook itself, while visiting Hubb Kitchens to cook with the fabulous women involved in the project?
Love Meghan’s look today? We asked the team to come up with some of their favourite #MirrorMeg options:
If you’re interested in purchasing a copy of the cookbook, it is available for order on Amazon (where it remains the #1 best-seller!). It was released today in the UK, and will be released on September 25th in the United States & Canada.
We also had to share this great photo of the day with Meghan embracing two of the women involved in the project. It’s easy to see the genuine affection Meghan has for these women that she’s been working with for months and how real the connection is between her and the people she works with.
What did you think of Meghan’s look for the the launch of the ‘Together: Our Community Cookbook‘?

HRH Duchess of Sussex and her mother Doria both look lovely.
Duchess Meghan has worn this shade of Royal blue before and the color really suits her. I love the cut of the coat and the simple, streamlined skirt/top combination. BTW that Tuxe Bodywear Renegade Top is fantastic layering piece that’s worth the investment.
I think she managed to nail the appropriate look for the occasion. She looked “royal” and had another beautiful blowout for her hair, but she didn’t over stage the seriousness of the cause or the women who provided their creativity and creations for the cookbook. Well done!

What an amazing event! Following the heartwarming photos out of the day is enough to bring tears to my eyes. Duchess Meghan has never looked more in her element than today. To hear a bit of her speech to the women, to see her cooking with them and all enjoying one another’s company. And of course – to see Doria! What an amazing woman to have raised such a wonderful person. It was so special to see her, Prince Harry and her mother all in one place. That clearly is her whole world, and to be surrounded by the women of Hubb. She’s already doing great, heartwarming work! What a special, amazing woman Meghan is!

Oh my goodness, where to start?! This event was just lovely from start to finish, in fact this whole project, the private visits to the kitchen and now a lovely cookbook, just warms my heart! It’s so lovely to see the Duchess use her position to not only shine a light on a worthwhile cause but help lift up these women and bring together the resources necessary to create this wonderful book, I can’t wait to get my copy!!
As you all know I love Meghan’ sense of style and fashion and today is no exception but…Doria really out shined her daughter today on the fashion front! I am absolutely love, love, loving her monochromatic outfit, the shoes and shawl just too die for and the crop pants look great on her. And I’m absolutely swooning over Doria’s necklace, I have a similar one at home in my jewelry box that I’ll be pulling out when I get home 🙂 Thanks Doria for giving us mothers of fashionable daughters the inspiration to be very fashionable ourselves!
I did want to take a minute to say how much I’m liking the tent and set-up for today’s event. The flowers, simple vases and the gorgeous tent really created a comfortable, relaxed vibe which I’m sure is exactly what Meghan had envisioned. Great job to all!!

I agree Doria’s outfit was a perfect combo of casual elegance, the epitome of insouciant as the French say! The wrap, lovely cropped trousers, and very cool shoes! I have read rumors concerning Meghan’s mother’s possible move to the UK; maybe she finally made the journey across the pond. Meghan’s outfit was okay maybe a bit too dressy for the occasion, more like a church-going outfit. Nice to see she traded in her spiky stilettos for a blocky heeled shoe, Not too comfortable cooking in a wool coat though! Meghan’s hair looked great but her Mum knocked it out of the park. Please, details on Doria’s lovely wrap and bangles!

Everything about this was perfection! Meghan’s outfit flattering and simple. Mom was the epitome of understated elegance. My favorite part of the day might have been watching Prince Harry stay a few steps behind her! I hope the rumors about Doria moving to London are true. I would love to see her become a fixture in the work Prince Harry and Meghan do….

I think this project is great but have to agree that Meghan’s outfit seems a touch too dressy for the event. Doria’s outfit, on the other hand, was perfect.
