Meghan and Harry, along with the rest of the extended Royal Family, joined Her Majesty the Queen today for a Christmas Lunch at Buckingham Palace.
While we do not see photos from the private family event, photographers are always on hand to capture the arrivals and departures of the royals.
Meghan’s look was a throwback – she was wearing an Erdem dress she had previously worn on the Today Show back in 2016 when she was promoting winter’s coolest trends for The Tig. You can watch the video here.
We took today’s recycle as proof positive that some of those amazing Meghan Markle pieces made their way across the pond. She also wore a repeat cape coat and her Cartier wedding earrings.
Coat: Gillian Anderson for Winser London Swing Cape Coat
Heels: Aquazzura Simply Irresistible 105 Pumps
Earrings: Cartier Wedding Earrings
Dress: Erdem, previously seen in 2016
Love Meghan’s look today? We asked the team to come up with some of their favourite #MirrorMeg options:

I am really impressed you managed to ID all that from a car picture! I generally loathe Erdem because his dresses look like sofas with huge ugly bedskirt ruffles, but this is one of his less offensive efforts. I have always really liked this smudgy/sooty eye makeup look that she wore a lot before she was married. I’ve never been able to replicate it though. I can do smoky, but this look is a little more “lived in” and I like it.

Can we see a photo of Meghan on the Today Show wearing that dress?

Your wish is our command! Adding a photo as well as link to the segment so you can watch the whole thing! 🙂
Cass says
Wow, it’s so pretty 🙂 I wonder how it’s fitting over her expanding tummy?
OG SG says
I am really surprised she is not in maternity clothes. She is VERY pregnant and the only maternity thing she has worn was that dress in Australia when she was barely pregnant. Her dress yesterday gave her back fat, which she doesn’t really have, so I don’t get why she hasn’t embraced maternity wear. Especially since it is actually fashionable, unlike the muu muus of yore.
Lauri says
“Muu muus of yore” omg OG SG I just covered my laptop in coffee I laughed so hard!!
Shersha says
I love Erdem and the dress is beautiful. Meghan from what I can see in the photo looks lovely. Perhaps the reason that she has not “embraced” maternity wear is because she does not want to? Nor does she have to. It is her body and she is free to wear what is comfortable for HER body. There are no laws in effect that state that pregnant women need to wear maternity wear. I have never bought maternity wear and I know other women who did not buy one piece of maternity wear their entire pregnancies. Every woman and every woman’s body is different. I worked with someone who up until she gave birth you would never know that she was pregnant. As long as the woman is comfortable, healthy and happy that is all that matters.
OG SG says
Yes, OBVIOUSLY she can dress her body in whatever she wants always, but this is a fashion site where we offer our opinions on what she wears. The floral dress the other day did not fit at all and was particularly unflattering in the back. I would say that about a dress that didn’t fit whether the person is pregnant or not. If she is opposed to maternity wear she can go up a size, but then it will be baggy everywhere else, which is why I commented about maternity wear instead. She is fully entitled to wear a grocery sack if she wants, but I will have an opinion about it regardless of whether she has a right to wear something ugly or ill fitting or whatever.
Shersha says
Yes, you are free to have your opinion and I am free to have mine. That is why this a public forum. You know absolutely nothing about other women and their bodies and if they size up whether or not the clothing “will be baggy everywhere else”. Again, it depends on the woman, her body and especially the type of clothing, how it is made, designed, etc. The women I have known and myself had no issues and our clothing did not look ill fitting or ugly. Iris made an excellent point and only Meghan knows for sure but perhaps she has no interest in maternity wear and is buying regular clothing and having it altered to fit her body. A brilliant idea.
Lauri says
I agree with OG SG, Erdem is not my favorite designer but this dress doesn’t look too bad. Of course Meghan could make a potato sack look good! She really does have a glow about her, an inner light that is just beautiful! I’m very much looking forward to the Christmas morning church stroll, I wonder what she’ll wear?
Monique says
How do you know what coat it is without any distinguishing features or the shoes if there’s no photos of her full length? Impressive!
Natatat says
Really like this dress. The colours, sheer-ness, and pattern are a little outside the typical royal dress for this time of year which is nice. Seems like there are alot of 1 colour sheath dresses usually which are pretty but not very creative.
I’m looking forward to the Christmas day photos – the women always wear really lovely coats (Meghan and Kate both had awesome coats last year).
Iris says
Has anyone thought that Meghan might have had clothes altered to fit her changing shape?
As ever, she looks stunning in darker colors.
Deborah A. Lorenzen says
It’s almost impossible to “let out” a dress to fit a baby bump unless you add fabric! Especially something like the Erdem dress; so sheer and delicate of a fabric. Maybe the Erdem dress fabric has a stretch to it and she just likes the way she looks in tighter clothes! You can, of course, add fabric but why not just buy a new dress?. The gray and black floral frock she wore to the rest home was not altered in any way as it was very tight across her belly and pulled at the seams but I’m sure she stood in front of the mirror before leaving the castle and someone gave her a thumbs up! Again I have not seen any evidence that her clothes are being altered.
Deborah A. Lorenzen says
For some reason I have posted two comments neither has been posted. neither one was offensive just an opinion maybe this one will post!
Deborah A. Lorenzen says
Well, my revised comment was about altering clothing to fit her baby bump did not post so I am trying again just commented that the Duchess does not appear to have her clothes altered and that the Erdem dress would be very difficult to alter because of the sheerness of the fabric. You could add fabric but why not just buy a new dress? Maybe the Duchess just likes the way she looks in tighter fitting clothes! Odd though at Eugenie’s wedding her outfit was plenty roomy and she was barely showing. I’m sure before she leaves the castle she looks in the mirror and someone gives her the thumbs up!

Oh sorry, it did post! My bad, not enough coffee I guess!
