Meghan and Harry brought a special guest for their meeting with Archbishop Desmond Tutu – litle Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor joined them for the meeting at the Desmond & Leah Tutu Legacy Foundation in Cape Town.
Meghan wore a beautiful, floaty blue and white dress from Club Monaco and she smartly tied her hair back to avoid any tugs and pulls from tiny hands! Meghan kept her accessories simple but elegant with her Jennifer Meyer pieces that she’s been wearing throughout the tour.
Heels: Manolo Blahnik BB Pumps in Navy
Ring: Jennifer Meyer Turquoise Ring
Earrings: Jennifer Meyer Diamond and Turquoise Earrings
Dress: Club Monaco Dremah Dress
And for those inquiring minds, Archie’s outfit comes from H&M: H&M Conscious Light blue/striped Bib Overalls alongside some adorable Bonpoint baby socks.
Love Meghan’s look today? We asked the team to come up with some of their favourite #MirrorMeg options:
What did you think of Meghan’s look to meet with Archbishop Desmond Tutu? Were you excited to see Archie?
Bertie says
I have to confess to some profound relief that Meghan has made such an accessible and pretty choice, I’m not sure how much more of being challenged I can cope with right now! I find her tours a touch draining as both times I’ve reached a point of exasperation and then had to come back from the edge.
And this is such a pretty dress; I love that print, which seems to reference Ikat patterns. The pastel tones floating on the loose outer silk over a contrast black slip is an accomplished style combo and Meghan wears it beautifully. The gentle generosity of the fabric and style accommodate her present figure which is relief from the number of times she seems to strain at styles for a slimmer self. The turquoise Jennifer Meyer studs are exquisite in this context, though of course her chief accessory today has to be the darling baby Archie. What a little star!!

Hi Bertie, I hope you’re feeling better now and have gotten away from the edge! 🙂 I have to ask what exasperates you about Meghan’s tours? I’m asking because I’m finding that I get overwhelmed by the amount of events (and clothing) all coming at me at one time. I think due to the time differences, I’m seeing the days events all at once and I just shut down and barely comment due to fashion overload.
This is gorgeous dress and how I wish I had bought it! But I just don’t have anywhere to wear it 🙁
Bertie says
Hi Lauri, delighted to hear from you again. I think I know where you’re coming from on the fashion overload, it happens on every royal tour I follow. I try to keep up, get bad-tempered, and then say stupid things. Your way of shutting down for a bit is definitely safer.
I would say my exasperation is probably a character fault, but it stems from when I can’t quite believe the fashion choices Meghan is making and wonder why anyone would leave the house looking like that. Then I hit up against the need to be polite in any comments on here! On both tours I’ve reached the point of thinking I should stop following her and then she goes and does something like this delightful Club Monaco.
So now I’m back from the edge once again, and think I need to go back and review outfits in light of the more positive view I’m getting. So sorry to hear you didn’t get the dress. I understand your problem, I sometimes try to focus on things I can use with jeans, and lately, on not buying anything else at all for an over-full closet!
Lauri says
Lol! This is the great thing about fashion, the differing opinions. Personally I really like just about everything that Meghan has worn since she first came on the royal scene but I enjoy reading yours and others opinions too.
I don’t think Meghan has any engagements over the weekend so we’ll get a chance to relax and catch up.

Perfect dress for the occasion and it looks beautiful on her. Can we talk about Archie though?!?! I was so excited to finally get a good glimpse of him, and boy does he ever resemble dad! So cute!
I’m also intrigued by the Jennifer Meyer turquoise pieces she’s been wearing since giving birth. I wonder if there’s any significance to the turquoise choice, or if she just likes it. I read somewhere that turquoise is believed to protect one from bad spirits or bad energy. Anyway, I think the pieces are lovely!

I am not sure if this is why Meghan is wearing the turquoise, but I think it is supposed to have healing powers. I found this interesting links about it.

Beautiful dress. Meghan looks really pretty in this dress and heels match perfectly. Question–on some other sites, I could have sworn Meghan is wearing a solid skirt or something underneath? Maybe a slip? At any rate, a great outfit.
Lauri says
This dress has a built in “slip”.
Sunni says
I think so, too, Pam. I could see some lace peeking out of the bottom of one of her recent outfits.
OG SG says
The dress is cute. But Archie’s wee overalls are my favorite fashion in this pic!
Lauri says
I almost bought this dress over the summer, so it’s great to see that Meghan and I have a psychic fashion connection! As I recall this dress was very comfortable and fit like a dream plus the fabric was very flowy and felt elegant. I live in a very rural area populated mostly by outdoorsy type folks and unfortunately there really is no place where I could wear this dress and not feel very, very overdressed.
Omg!! Archie is sooo adorable!! He’s such an expressive, jolly little boy and seems to have the cheerful personality of his parents.

The Duchess looks great here. This dress fits her well. I love how it falls. The outer silk must feel lovely to wear. Love the shoes. Her jewellery is a favourite for me, subtle and simple but there. I dislike bare necks and earlobes!. Her hair pulled back off her face looks wonderful. I just love what little Archie is wearing he looks so lovely.
