Meghan made a surprise appearance and delighted award-goers and recipients at the British Fashion Awards in London.

Meghan presented the Womenswear Designer of the Year award to Claire Waight Keller, the lead designer at Givenchy who created her iconic wedding gown and many of the high-profile outfits that Meghan has worn in her first year as a royal.
Meghan stepped out in an ultra-sleek, modern, and elegant black one-shoulder gown with a high slit. The fitted style accentuated her growing baby bump and created a very high-fashion look, ideal for mingling with the biggest names in the fashion industry.

Yesss!! Finally, she appears. She looks so good, the black and gold really go together.
I noticed she had colored nail polish!
That stood out to me right away too! I thought royals weren’t allowed to wear anything other than barely there pink per the queen’s wishes.
Other royals, including full-time working royals like the Countess of Wessex wear colorful nail polish. The usually stick to something neutral for conservative events and when they are very busy (no time for a new manicure for every appearance). It’s a myth!
Oh, a black gown..yes noticed the dark nail polish.
Wow! This will go down as one of her greatest looks. She looks gorgeous and is glowing. What an amazing surprise! I cannot get over this look! Perfect in every way. How special that she could present the award.
This is a great outfit. Given that her bracelets are by Pippa Small could the earrings be the Nosheen studs by the same designer?

Meghan looks beautiful. I love the dark nailpolish and the Shoes . But No way she is ‘ just 20 weeks’ when i had my 2 pregnancy’s i had a bump like that when i was 25 weeks pregnant. I saw the video on YouTube. I think she is longer pregnant than they want us to believe..but
Agree with Lisa and Anne, Also the royal press never said she was 3 months pregnant in Australia they noted she had a scan at 3 weeks.
I’m absolutely swooning over this look tonight!!! It’s so elegant but yet looks completely comfortable and the gold accessories just add that wonderful bit of pop!! I’m thrilled that Meghan could attend this event to honor her wedding dress designer and it seems that Claire was completely surprised, awww!
What a great way to start off the week! Duchess Meghan looks simply stunning. I love one shoulder dresses (Full disclosure- my wedding dress was a one shoulder dress in a very similar shape to this one (in white of course!), and this bespoke black Givenchy is perfect for her. It was also so nice for her to honor Claire for the wedding dress.
The gold accents of the glamorous heels, bangles and stud earnings were the perfect balance of chic and fashion forward. Her hair and makeup was kept simple which was the right way to go. I also noticed she diverged with the usual royal family nude/pink/natural manicure and did a dark CHANEL vamp-like one. Perfect for the fashion awards. Love it!
And yes, her growing baby Sussex bump is so cute!
Love the dress and the shoes. I wish she had gone for longer, blingier earrings, though. With her hair all pulled back, it would have been nice for her to have something framing her face. I know huge jewels aren’t her thing but some long diamond drops or something would have been nice.
While I like your idea of diamond drop earrings, it seems that Meghan used her bracelets as her statement jewelry. Personally I can’t wait for a repeat of those delicious earrings she wore for the wedding reception!
I didn’t even need them to be a statement piece. Heck, even simple but dangly gold (non-diamond) earrings I think would have been better with this particular hairstyle, as it is so tight to her head.
I did love the wedding reception earrings though. Someone on Esty duped them and I kind of want them even though they are a bit too blingy for my usual outings.
She looks absolutely stunning! And agree with the comment about her being further along than 20 weeks. When they announced her pregnancy, they said she’d had her 12 week scan. They didn’t say she was AT 12 weeks. She looks further along to me! Or it’s twins! Either way it will be exciting to watch!

If you google fashion awards 2018. Then there are beautiful pictures of Meghan. There you can see that her bump. And i do not believe that she is 20 weeks. More like 24,25,26 weeks along.
Mary, I think she really is just 20 weeks, otherwise, Meghan and Harry would’ve announced their pregnancy to the Queen and senior royals at the 12-week mark, thus prior to the wedding. The announcement would not have been made public until after the wedding, of course, but there would be no reason to not inform the queen as soon as possible, which should be done at the end of the 1st trimester. The size of her bump could be because she’s short waisted (I don’t know if that’s a thing though). Or it could be twins. How exiting would that be!
That would be exiting! Twins! But, The most important is that the baby is healty.
Hi Fabulous, from what I recall the senior royals were informed of the baby before the wedding, how long before we don’t know, but the wedding was the first time they were able to congratulate Harry and Meghan in person.
Excellent look for her. Sleek hair, sleek dress. I think it’s a home run. She looks closer to 6 months pregnant to me. I think we will see a very early March arrival. And no there are no rules about nail color. Diana wore bright color on her nails a lot. This is just stuff made up to sell newspapers.

This is a really classic look- very chic. The bangles add a good touch with the simplicity of the gown, which I really like. Sooooo glad the Duchess wore the sleek hairstyle and not her signature messy do, which sometimes does not blend with her outfits.
