Meghan had a surprise engagement at the Association of Commonwealth Universities (ACU) to discuss higher education and how it can help build a better world.

HRH The Duchess of Sussex attended the event and took part in discussions, following her first official speech to students at the University of the South Pacific in Fiji in October 2018.

Meghan wore a black short-sleeve dress along with a warm pink cocoon coat. The outfit was definitely professional, and it was a nice pop of colour with the pink styling of the coat for Aritzia, a Canadian brand Meghan has often worn.
Dress: Hatch ‘Eliza’ Dress
Coat: Aritzia Wilfred Cocoon Coat

Mmm…what to say?
Agreed – there really isn’t much to say right now. We’ll have to just wait and see if more photos are released or forever wonder what this black t-shirt dress might be. *lol*
I am so happy she looks unfazed by all the hate. Duchess Meghan, unlike others, does not really care about clothes for these events. Its never about the clothes for her! Its only about the impact she can make!!!
Not sure what to make of this comment. I don’t think anyone can say definitively what the Duchess cares or does not care about unless you know her personally. FYI, it is possible to care about clothes and the impact you make, it doesn’t have to be an either or.
With due respect and correct me if I’m wrong, but this is a fashion website based on Meghan’s fashion style. I know that’s why I visit here. It’s not hate to critique her fashion choices, especially since most comments are positive about her clothing.
Well, she looks like she just rolled out of bed! I am hoping at least she was wearing tights! OMG! Yes, I guess we will have to see if there are any other photos of her outfit. Her top appears that it might be made out of a fine merino wool knit.
Lord I wish I looked like her when I just roll out of bed. Lol.
JM, you’re speaking for ALL of us! xo
The top looks very comfortable, doesn’t it? Stretchy, yet thick and supple. We’ll keep our eye out for a match – we’re not sure that we’ve seen anything that’s a 100% match yet.
As there is not much to say about her outfit, which was probably intentional, I will say that I so appreciate that she is tackling issues like human trafficking and gender equality, which are kind of tougher and more “political” than the kinds of traditional causes some royals support. It is kind of like Chatles with global warming.
Very true, OG SG! It’s been interesting to us that she’s kept many things private and not with cameras at the ready – especially since she’s been back from Australia. We are thinking that she’s spending time privately getting to know the patronages and causes that she wants to delve into. We’re looking forward to those announcements!
I’d like to think that she’s wearing comfy pajama pants and fuzzy slippers! But probably not, lol
Haha! Now THAT would be a story, Lauri 😉
Ha! Fuzzy slippers!
From the photos released by Kensington Palace, it looks like an Aritzia coat.

You are right, Meredith! 😉 http://www.meghansmirror.com/product/aritzia-wilfred-cocoon-coat/
Too many black clothes…
Did you like the pop of colour from the pink coat that she paired it with?
Not really a pop of color kind of a muted pink almost a blush.
Agree on that black or navy that’s about it lately. I think she just likes black clothing, but it does become a little dreary, not hating just an observation.
Marjorie, how do you know this about the Duchess? She wore very expensive boots when she visited the Hub Kitchen if she didn’t care about fashion she would have worn Crocs and sweatpants.
That woman is incredibly beautiful.
I think she looks beautiful as usual!
