Meghan's Go-To Sunglasses Brand

When we saw Meghan and her girlfriends attend Wimbledon, we were not only excited to see Meghan out & about and dressed in the stylish ‘casual chic’ manner that we have come to love so much on Meghan – but she was wearing a pair of sunglasses that we quickly realized were not only from a brand she knows and loves, but were a selection we thought Meghan could wear!

FINLAY London’s ‘Henrietta‘ sunglasses, described as a sumptuous cat-eye, were amongst some of the stylish picks from Finlay London that we thought would fit well with Meghan’s style aesthetic, and would also be great additions to her sunglasses collection. Seeing them on Meghan at Wimbledon, it appears like we were right! The ‘Henrietta’ glasses have shallow lenses which sweep upwards and are handcrafted in FINLAY London’s workshop in Northern Italy from the finest mazzucchelli acetate.

If you’re thinking that you’ve possibly heard of this brand before… You’re right! You may recall one of Meghan Markle’s first ‘public appearances’ with Harry, at the Toronto Invictus Games. Meghan’s look drew much attention from the fashion media for her skillful combination of distressed denim with polished pieces, but it was the sunglasses that were flying off the shelves. FINLAY London’s ‘Percy’ Light Tortoise sunglasses were one of the first products to experience the Meghan Effect. The glasses instantly sold out after Meghan wore them and the ‘Percy’ style in Light Tortoise remains the brand’s best-selling style.

We love that Meghan has turned back to a British brand that celebrates individuality and creativity. What pieces from the brand do we think we could see on Meghan in the future? We’d love to see the ‘Willow‘ in their stunning rose gold colour, the ‘Archer‘ (perhaps in a black stone print?), or the classic rectangular lines of the ‘Bowery‘ in black.
