Although Meghan Markle has kept a low profile since making the full-time move to London, we all know she is still out shopping. The girl loves fashion, and although she’s getting some help with styling her for official events, she’s most likely still popping out to the shops from time to time.
London has some incredible shopping, from the glamorous department stores to the little boutiques. If you’re traveling to London for a royally-inspired trip, here are the spots for the best Meghan Markle-inspired shopping!
The Iconic Department Stores
London is known for some iconic department stores – they’ve even created entire television series dedicated to their history! Of course, we are referring to Selfridges, the iconic, historic department store with the eponymous TV show.
Along with Selfridges, which boasts all sorts of shopping, boutiques, services, and styling options (even Kate, the Duchess of Cambridge, has used their personal shopping services!), Meghan will undoubtedly fall in love with Harvey Nichols and Harrods, where she can find one-stop-shopping for all of her needs.
Meghan will also quickly fall in love with John Lewis and its sister (or is it, brother?) store, Peter Jones. The equivalent of a very upscale J.C. Penney’s, John Lewis sells everything from dishwashers to designer lingerie, and everything in between. The posh London set can’t live without their John Lewis stores, where Meghan will undoubtedly fall in love with their designer cashmere and adorable homewares collection.
The King’s Road, Chelsea
We have no doubt in our minds that Meghan Markle has not wandered the picturesque King’s Road in Chelsea. It is the place for posh London women to go on a shopping spree. Meghan’s friends Olivia Palermo and Milly Mackintosh are often spotted in the area, having lunch or meeting friends.
Along the King’s Road, Meghan will find high street icons such as Reiss, Whistles, and one of Meghan’s beloved brands, Jigsaw. She can also pick up her favorite Jo Malone London perfume, Wild Bluebell, at the boutique off of Sloane Square.
The American Icons
Even though Meghan lives in London now, she will still be craving her favorite American outlets. Fear not – there are still plenty of iconic American shops dotted around London. The American shopping dream is alive and well in the UK.
There is a J. Crew on Sloane Square, and Meghan’s beloved Anthropologie not far away on the King’s Road shopping in Chelsea. And just in case you need an emergency chambray shirt, there’s Gap stores dotted all around London.
Lauri says
As someone who lives in a very small, very rural area (5 hours from a semi-large city) I am drooling over Meghan’s shopping spots!! I hope that she gets a chance to pop into some of these stores and unwind with a spot of shopping.
