Newly released video has emerged of the time Meghan spent in India in 2017 with World Vision as she campaigned for gender equality.
Meghan highlighted in the video the startling (and terrifying) figure that in India, 113 million teenage girls are at risk of dropping out of school because of the lack of clean hygiene and bathroom supplies alongside basic sanitary supplies. You can read more about the work of the Myna Mahila Foundation, which is working to break taboos on menstrual hygiene in India here. It’s amazing how far a small donation goes – only $10USD will sponsor a young girl for three months for her menstrual needs (underwear, pads, disposal bags, period tracker, soap and counselling support). You can donate here.
While the trip was most assuredly NOT about what Meghan wore, we do still have some of the details available.
