The Duke and Duchess of Sussex today joined The Queen and other members of the royal family for celebrations to mark the centenary of the Royal Air Force.
Following the ceremony at Westminster Abbey, the Royal Family gathered on the balcony of Buckingham Palace to view a special flyover.
With the flyover complete, Harry and Meghan attended a reception where they met RAF servicemen and women and thanked them for their service.
Meghan’s bespoke Dior dress was a hit in our books – it was perfect for the solemn occasion, in a shape and style that was extremely flattering on Meghan and in a neckline style we’re seeing emerge as the most prominent style feature of Meghan’s early royal life, the boatneck. The dress was also impeccably tailored, which cut an extremely flattering silhouette.
Dress: Bespoke Dior navy midi dress
Heels: Bespoke Dior taupe suede pumps
Earrings: Cartier Diamond and White Gold Earrings
Purse: Bespoke Dior navy clutch
Hat: Stephen Jones swirl fascinator
Love Meghan’s look today? We asked the team to come up with some of their favourite #MirrorMeg options:

A+. Très chic and THAT fascinator is everything. I love all of it even if the neckline is predictable – it looks exactly like her wedding dress.
The clutch looks navy blue to me and not suede. I suppose more details will come later.

Here Royal Highness’s Hat Game is ON FIRE this week. I’m here for the boat-neck love…I can relate.

First off I’d like to apologize to everyone who is bored to sobs by my gushing over Meghan’s style and fashion choices. All I can say is that I’m just so thrilled to finally have a woman in the British Royal Family whose style and fashion choices are ones that either mirror my own style or provide me with much needed fashion inspiration!
On to today’s outfit, Wow, just Wow!!! From fascinator to suede pump, this look is perfection!! I love that Meghan can wear retro looks without appearing silly or costume-y and I think the color of her shoes definitely keeps today’s outfit from veering in that direction. I like that the bateau/boat neckline is becoming Meghan’s signature look, it’s so flattering on her and really shows off her beautiful neck. And how fun is this fascinator? I know I was happy yesterday that she went with a hat instead of fascinator but I have to say it really worked with today’s dress. It is very visually interesting without being too frilly or too much (if you know what I mean).
I wonder if she will wear this dress to Ireland later today or change into another outfit? Will she wear a hat? Will she, gasp, wear trousers? Oh, I can’t wait!!

I will never be bored of people gushing over Duchess Meghan’s style because she is just amazingly stylish and beautiful.
I am bored with people criticising her over nothing though.
She slayed again today – it always cheers me up to see her because not only is she gorgeous, she is also such a lovely woman.

What a perfect look! Meghan continues to nail it, in my opinion.
Question – has anyone found a similar pair of earrings to the Cartier? While it would be amazing to own the same pair, this lady can’t afford Cartier at the moment (lol). Any recommendations on a comparable alternative?

Check etsy…there are lots of Kate and Meghan dupes on there. I got a pair of these Art Deco earrings modeled after a pair Kate wore…very good quality and I get loads of compliments on them.

LOVE Etsy! We found a couple of good MirrorMegs for $30! http://www.meghansmirror.com/product/cartier-diamond-white-gold-earrings/

Hi Steph! We’ve just added a couple of pairs to the page about the earrings… For $33! http://www.meghansmirror.com/product/cartier-diamond-white-gold-earrings/

There are a couple better options that look more like the original instead of the the plain halo. I don’t want to post the links in case it violates a site rule but they are sold by the shops AllureWeddingJewelry and YvetteYodeemdesigns, if you want to add them to the mirror options.

Thanks for sharing!!! Adding them now 🙂 xo

The Duchess of Sussex looks amazing! I love that she chose Navy as opposed to Black, and the bespoke Dior dress is just stunning. The beautiful neckline is classic Meghan, and the Navy swirl facinator with the sleek bun is the perfect topper. The earnings the makeup make this look an overall A+++

On point again! Looking forward to Ireland!

Huh. I love the dress and hat – they are super chic – but they look out of place at this event, and it looks like she’s going to a different event than the other 3. Perhaps if it was lighter navy – it reads almost black, which is quite somber. I don’t *get* the shoes with the outfit.
The tailoring is tight – a la Claire Underwood character (I understand Robin Wright gets her clothes tailored literally the day she’s going to wear something so it’s perfect).
That neckline is clearly her ‘thing’ and I am here for it!
Smithy says
Agreed. The ensemble is wonderful but I think it looks more appropriate for a wedding. I would definitely have preferred a more slimline or beret-style hat, I know Kate wears quite a few but I just love them and think of them as almost a tribute to the soldiers’ uniforms. I’m glad I’ve seen her in a fit and flare dress as it looks wonderful, so now I would like to see a dress-coat or coat dress of some sort.

My favorite royal look from her yet! She nailed it! I’m so happy to see her in a darker color. Navy totally suits her. And the tailoring is spot on!
OG SG says
This is gorgeous. The hat and dress are really fab. As always, I hate the nude pumps…navy would have been a better choice imo.
Jill Bray says
Agree. She looks amazing but the shoes are a disconnect. Maybe she was trying to not have a head to toe color again today? I’m loving her outfits lately!
OG SG says
I get that navy would be sort of matchy-matchy, but I would take it over the nude shoes! 🙂 I just hate them in general because they are so boring and I think they should only be worn if there is literally no other option for one’s particular outfit and something that neutral is required. They have just become SO ubiquitous since the fashion mags decreed that nude pumps lengthen the leg and I am over it.
Deborah Lorenzen says
I don’t care for the nude shoes either. Maybe a shoe with a patent leather bow or trim. The shoe is way too light for the dress and is the dress navy or black? In one photo the fabric of the dress looks very shiny.
Tara says
Perfection!
The slightly see-through fascinators and hats she’s been wearing since Prince Charles’ garden party are such a brilliant fashion move –they appear lighter on the head and don’t overwhelm her face or the overall look.
claire says
I love love love this outfit, she looks AMAZING. The only thing is I feel she could have opted for a lighter colour? Just because it’s summer and everything. But don’t get me wrong, she looks gorgeous.
SallyG says
Just love this, she is so chic and an inspiration. I think having shoes a different colour stopped the outfit from being too monochromatic, other than nude what colour would go? Perhaps red?
OG SG says
I am also wondering if Meghan took out her hair extensions. I thought maybe so yesterday when she wore the ponytail…it was shorter and thinner than her hair usually is, and now I am more convinced today, as her bun is smaller than it has been. Personally, I hope so, because I am not a huge fan of extensions and fake hair and stuff. Personal preference 🙂
Deborah Lorenzen says
I thought the same thing. Her hair seemed layered right before the wedding then it got long in a week or so after the wedding and it seems thinner today. Photos of her a few years ago definitely show extensions.
Tecla says
Love it!

The pic of the Queen smiling next to Megan was fabulous! If Megan had the star pin on her suit that the Queen wore, that would make her outfit one of her best forever! Perhaps one day she will get to wear it! I hope so!
