What did you think of Meghan’s Gabriela Hearst cocktail dress?

Elegant and a lovely length Duchess Megan looks stylish as ever in this Gabriela Hurst dress with cap sleeves.
She has again added her bespoke Christian Dior navy clutch. Can’t say I’m a fan of delightful Jacinda Ardern’s outfit but then she is juggling life as prime minister with motherhood.

Thanks for an excellent post MM!! Meghan is yet again rocking the vintage, retro style and again is killing it!! I really like the neckline and cap sleeves and the length is perfect. I realize that some will complain about the color but seeing as black is the color of New Zealand, her choice tonight was spot on!

Duchess Meghan looks very chic and pretty!
I love this classic cut black dress with a full skirt, which is very “Audrey Hepburn”, a big influence on her style for many years now. I think the delicate accessories and my favorite custom Dior clutch are perfect with this look.
Since I was complaining a bit a few days ago that she was recycling many of her shoes, etc. It’s nice to see her in these Stuart Weitzman Nudist Sandals, which are open toed, making this look a bit more modern. The side parted glossy curls are the perfect hairstyle for this look as well.
Tres Belle! 🙂

I disagree I don’t like this length on her it draws attention to her very thin ankles, not in a flattering way. The shape of the dress is very boxy and stiff looking. I applaud her for being able to walk in the Stuart Weitzman Nudist sandal. I tried this shoe on years ago and almost fell over in the store LOL. The black tights on Jacinda are a strange look.

I love that she’s changing up the shoes a bit. While I can appreciate that the closed toe stilettos are a professional timeless look, I love seeing her do something strappy, which feels more modern, more updated and more true to her own style.

I think she is overdressed for this occasion, many of the women in the background shots on UK Daily mail are wearing much less “formal” looks. I think this is a dress that should be worn to a semi-formal event, maybe a black tie.

I mostly like the dress but agree with the commenter above that the length is not flattering to her thin legs and ankles. I love the fact that she chose a designer who pays homage to feminists, especially in light of the theme of her speech! I just wish it were a couple inches shorter at least.

I really love this look ! The retro style really suits her, and reminds me a bit of Grace Kelly and old Hollywood. It’s lovely how she wears her jewellery gifts, her thoughtfulness always impresses. Also, great speech – she and Harry have the makings of excellent ambassadors for the UK.
