Harry and Meghan concluded their first day in Dublin by attending a summer garden party at Glencairn House, the British Ambassdor’s headquarters.
Va-va-voom! We loved Meghan’s black Emilia Wickstead designed dress.
Dress: Bespoke Sleeveless Emilia Wickstead Dress
Shoes: Aquazzura Deneuve Pumps
Clutch: Givenchy Black Satin clutch with Jewelry Clasp
Earrings: Birks Muse Citrine Earrings
Love Meghan’s look today? We asked the team to come up with some of their favourite #MirrorMeg options:
What did you think of Meghan’s look for the garden party with the British Ambassador?
Danielle says
Such a gorgeous dress! She looks so stunning. This has to be one of the most flattering looks yet. Normally I appreciate her more relaxed fits and how they skim and slim her figure more than tighter ensembles. But this must be the perfect material – it really shows her off. Same with the neckline! Classic and with a slight edge. What a day of looks!
Lisa says
We have been seriously spoiled with some killer outfits today. The hair, the dress, the earrings…STUNNING!!! Can I be a a duchess in another life?
SY says
I completely agree…today’s looks from head to toe were perfection. Can’t wait to see future looks!
Lauri says
I have to say that Meghan must be a very forgiving woman to be wearing Wickstead so soon and at such a high profile event after Ms. Wickstead’s rather cruel comments about Meghan’s wedding dress and hair. Personally I think that Ms. Wickstead’s apology came because of some legal demand from the House of Givenchy not because she was truly sorry. Sorry for the rant but I’m so tired of public personalities only apologizing when it might affect their wallets.
After taking a deep breath….I just don’t know what to say about Meghan’s look tonight. Head to toe perfection!! In fact, this entire day has been a fashion lovers dream!!! I’m really enjoying this fit and flare look on Meghan and the belt adds a fun bit of edge.
I must say her hair looks sublime tonight! The side part and soft curls work so well with this dress and bring to mind Meghan’s pre-Harry look, which I love! I hope that she continues to rock the side part as it’s super flattering and a bit romantic looking. I absolutely must have these shoes!! The cut-out and bow details elevate this shoe miles above the standard pump!

A fashion lover’s dream indeed! A hat trick today for Meghan. Loved all 3 looks.

Does everything need to be “bespoke”? (Ducks head!)
Lisa says
Don’t duck your head, it’s a valid point. Hopefully these items will be worn again in the future, along with some ‘affordable’ pieces.
El. says
Valid comment. We should be able to discuss these things without fighting. I do hope we see some more off-the-rack clothing and also that these looks will be worn at least a couple of times a year. They’re all strong foundation items that can easily be styled in a number of ways.
Ssm says
Don’t duck your head, I agree! I bet that the minute they got engaged she went to a few designers and started collaborating on a bunch of looks that would be appropriate an versatile for the first months of marriage. Isn’t that what anyone would do, knowing the whole world would be watching you in this new fashion territory? Bring in the experts and really nail it. My bet is that we see more off the rack in a few more months or a year, when she feels confident that she knows what she’s looking for.
Tiffany says
She doesn’t as much as it seems. But it’s also because she probably isn’t a fit model size, so she literally needs it to be bespoke so it fits her properly. She can not wear ill fitting clothes since she represents the monarchy now. I am sure she’d rather not do it since it requires a lot of fittings.
It also helps people to know when they go looking for the identical outfit to know that it’s not available to the public.
lawmom says
I can [sort of] understand bespoke clothes. I say ‘sort of’ because bespoke is different than tailored, and you can certainly buy off the rack and have things tailored rather than bespoke, i.e. customized design. What got me was the outfit earlier today with bespoke Christian Dior beige suede shoes. The shoes were the weakest part of that outfit, and if you’re going with beige suede shoes, do they need to be bespoke?! The clutch was bespoke too.
Laura B. says
Wowza! Again! She’s knocking it out of the ballpark today.
Madison Mile says
We are so lucky to be treated to a day of 3 amazing fashion ensembles from the Duchess of Sussex!
This final evening look is perfection as everyone else has said. The cut of the dress, the long hair with a beautiful wave and old Hollywood side part looks incredible on Meghan.
And even though some have pointed out her many bespoke and haute couture pieces she’s been wearing as a new royal, I have noticed that she does rewear/recycle some of them (at least the accessories), like these beautiful Aquazurra black heels with the bow detail in back, and the black Givenchy clutch with the jewelry clasp. P.S. The choice of the yellow citrine earrings was also a nice touch of color too!
Grace says
Wow, Meghan really made perfect outfit choices today. What I hope is that having many bespoke classic outfits made means that she is going to rewear them in the future as this lady knows her style and is only starting to create her working royal’s closet! Most of her outfits have been well selected classic pieces that will never go out of style, and as a person who loves a neutral, classic color palette and feminine style, I have been really happy with Meghan’s choices.
OG SG says
Wow, this is fantastic and I never, ever thought I would say that about a Wickstead. Her designs are not usually my cup of tea because they are so snoozy. But this is really great. This neckline is very flattering on Meghan and it is nice to see a change from the boatnecks. It shows a little skin but it tasteful.
The pair of them look quite radiant in the first picture. It warms my cold, dead heart a little.
Tiffany says
By the way about Wickstead: Meghan doesn’t read press (never has) so she most likely doesn’t know what was said about her or her wedding dress.
As far as Meghan wearing bespoke clothing, it is not at the expense of the British citizens. Harry and William are both independently rich due to their inheritance from Diana and receive millions a year from their father to cover staffing, travel and their official wardrobes. When they travel internationally, it is paid for by the country they visit. Meghan must buy new clothing to be able to wear it again.
That said, I hope the comments here stay at least civil. There are enough snarky remarks about Meghan on IG. I don’t get why people who like to insult or complain about her follow a blog or page that is about her and only her. There are many Meghan accounts that don’t have as many followers as those that do not allow people to make nasty comments about her
Callie says
Probably best not to get into a discussion about where the money comes from – it can be a sensitive topic for British citizens and those of us that come from former British colonies.
Smithy says
This is definitely my favourite outfit out of them all! I had mixed reactions to her navy Dior but this look is great! My favourite part is actually the citrines, I think they’re such an underrated stone but bring a lovely bit of colour to the outfit. I’m also glad that she’s wearing earrings other than studs, I’m actually really curious to find out in the coming months whether the Queen has lent her any jewellery and if so, what?
Deborah Lorenzen says
Wow, I mentioned citrine in my comment as a suggestion to accessorize the green ensemble she wore the first day in Ireland. I love the earrings! Nice change to see her wear a larger earring. The LBD is perfect.
