While there have been a couple of showings of Meghan’s wedding dress at the Royal Wedding: The Duke and Duchess of Sussex display organized by the Royal Collection Trust, there have not been any public “showings” of Meghan’s clothes from her days as Meghan Markle… Until now.
As the ninth and final season of Suits premieres, The Paley Center for Media is showcasing some of the stunning wardrobes seen on screen over the course of the show’s epic run with a new exhibit featuring photography and iconic costumes from series costume designer Jolie Andreatta – including stylish selections from Meghan Markle’s character, Rachel Zane.
If you are in LA, we strongly recommend going to check out the exhibition (bonus – it’s free!), but in case you’re not, the Paley Center for Media was kind enough to share with us images of Meghan’s looks worn on the show from the exhibit so you can get a sense of her Suits style.
Look #1: From the episode “Divide and Conquer” (Season 7, episode 4)
In an episode that saw Meghan Markle (as Rachel Zane) struggle with wedding plans with her fiancé Mike, her outfit didn’t let us in on the struggle. Wearing a Gucci coat, a Tom Ford skirt and jewelry by Johanna Torell, Meghan looked every part the sophisticated, put-together lawyer she portrayed on the show.
The necklace Meghan wore on the show is from designer Johanna Torrell, who actually featured numerous pieces for Meghan on the show – and for her fellow castmates as well. Johanna worked closely with stylist Jolie to get the looks just right for the characters and worked with the actresses involved for that perfect mix. Johanna shared with us a tidbit about styling Meghan – and the necklace that she wore on screen with this outfit.
…that was one of the charm necklaces I put together for Meghan, I collected an assortment of charms (some new, some vintage) and made her a few necklaces that we pictured were gifts from her family. All of Meghan’s jewelry in the beginning of the show was understated and sentimental, rather than flashy and fashion forward. Later on as she became more successful we imagined that she started buying pieces for herself. This particular necklace is in gold vermeil and the “S” stands for someone meaningful to her…(so apt now that she is the Duchess of Sussex!)
If you love the looks Johanna created for Meghan on Suits, we have all of them in our archives!
Look #2: From the episode “Admission of Guilt”
Meghan wore this Nina Ricci blouse and Ralph Lauren skirt in the episode as she helped a co-worker with a presentation. We couldn’t help but admire the delicate detailing on the Nina Ricco blouse in a butterfly pattern.
We’d love to hear if any of you Los Angelenos will be heading over to check out the exhibit – and if you’re not in there area, be sure to add the Paley Media Center to your list of destinations to visit when you’re next in LA. Meghan has been there several times in the past, including during a Suits feature in 2013.
And if you, like us, love Meghan’s Suits wardrobe – don’t worry. We have many of her iconic pieces – including those pictured above – in our archives. Here is a quick sample:

As a lady lawyer, I did like her character’s style on Suits. But man, as much as I like MM, I thought her character was sooo annoying lol.

Why are the skirts wrinkled?
