When Meghan maintained social media profiles, they were very active. There were pictures of her life in Toronto, her dogs, her fashionable choices… And, if you look closely enough at images several years ago, images of Meghan toting a retro-looking camera around to capture some of those moments.
Meghan’s Mirror reader Katie reached out to determine if we would be able to confirm the camera for her curious mind, and while we can track down a pair of shoes or a dress like no one’s business, cameras… Those aren’t our thing. So we reached out to vintage camera expert Colin at 678 Vintage Cameras to see if he could ascertain just what the camera Meghan carried was – and he could! Surprisingly, it’s digital! Meghan used the Fujifilm X20 12 MP Digital Camera with 2.8-Inch LCD.
Camera manufacturers have been having something of a retro-reemergence in their camera stylings, and the slim, technologically advanced cameras now can easily be confused for analog ones of past. We were surprised that this was not an older model, like many of the cameras that Colin specializes in. Meghan’s camera was spotted several times on her instagram feed…
Meghan also had an interest in vintage cameras, showcasing a “photo credit” to these old cameras.
Will we see Meghan release some of her photographs in the future, like those of her sister-in-law? She did also play a photographer in the movie “Dysfunctional Friends”… Only time will tell!

Thanks for such a great post MM! I love taking photos but I don’t like taking them with my phone as it lacks a “feel”. My phone takes great photos but it’s just not the same as taking out my camera, adjusting the lens, clicking on a filter or two and really having to “work” for that great shot. My camera isn’t digital and good luck finding anywhere that develops film so I haven’t been using it much lately, ummm maybe I’ll drag it out and go take some snaps 🙂

Lauri, I know what you mean. Taking pictures with my cell it’s just not the same, also images look flat. I used to enjoy taking pictures with my manual 35mm camara and developing photos in the dark room at college. MM, I really enjoy these Throwback Tig Thursdays features! I like the black and white stripped dress. Where can I find a similar one?
