Who’s that girl photographed shopping, working out, and lounging in Italy with Meghan Markle? It is none other than her BFF, Jessica Mulroney. Jessica is a professional stylist based in Toronto, Canada, and is currently assisting Meghan in her styling choices, from that JOSEPH skirt to her wedding dress designer. We thought we would share 5 of our reasons to love Jessica Mulroney in a special edition of ‘Her 5 Best’.

Aside from being a super chic fashionista and Meghan Markle’s best friend, here are five more reasons to love Jessica Mulroney:

SHE’S A GIRL BOSS

This is the #1 reason we love Jessica – she’s a BOSS. She runs her own personal styling business, works for different media outlets as a style and lifestyle expert, works at Kleinfeld Canada on their PR team, started her own charity, The Shoebox Project, with her sisters-in-law, etc. etc. etc. AND she has time to fly to London to help Meghan Markle pick out outfits for royal events.

Our favorite thing about Jessica’s Girl Boss status is that she is still learning and evolving – she shares the books she reads, like The 80 Minute MBA by Richard Reeves and John Knell, so we can get a little more Girl Boss-y, too.

SHE LOVES TO WORK OUT…

Jessica is dedicated to keeping her body fit and healthy. She has said she works out every single day, even if it is only for a few minutes, to make her body stronger. That is dedication we wish we had! Meghan and Jessica have worked out together in the past, and Meghan has attended personal training sessions with Jessica, saying she wishes she had the physical skills of her BFF! …BUT ALSO LOVES PASTA.

The girl knows all about balance. Whether it is luscious, ginormous bowls of pasta, red wine (which she calls “mommy juice”) or her guilty pleasure of poutine from her favorite local place, Jessica can’t live without some really yummy, decadent foods.

She’s a real girl, who wants to have her cake AND eat it, too. She loves to cook and often hosts cooking segments, from spaghetti to green juice, on Metro Ontario. We love a girl who loves to cook AND eat.

HER FASHION SENSE IS IMPECCABLE…

This comes as no surprise, but Jessica’s fashion sense is stellar. It isn’t just the perfect little dress and heels, though. Jessica is known for funky pantsuits, bold trousers, dramatic gowns, and a killer shoe collection.

As a professional stylist, she’s worked with Meghan Markle (obviously), Sophie Gregoire, and actresses walking the red carpet (she is so discreet that Meghan and Sophie are her only confirmed clients). Her fashion sense traverses a wide range of occasions, from the Golden Globes to a daytime political visit.

…BUT SHE ACTUALLY LIVES IN SNEAKERS AND SWEATPANTS.

Yes, the woman with the amazing shoe collection is more usually found in oversize “geek chic” glasses and Ugg slippers, or Adidas leggings and sneakers. She loves to be cozy and prefers an early night snuggled up in bed (she’s said in interviews she aims to be in bed by 9:30 – a girl after our own hearts!). Even in loungewear, she still looks super chic. Jessica sticks to monochromatic colors for her workout clothes, with the occasional pop of color, and super cozy sweatpants and pullovers in grey, white, and muted tones for lazy days on the sofa.
