The Duchess of Sussex attended her very first public event since the birth of little Archie Harrison – the annual Trooping of the Colour. Today’s events mark the official celebration of the Sovereign’s birthday.
Meghan joined other members of the Royal Family on a horse-drawn carriage procession throughout the center of London. This event is one of the only times on the royal calendar that the entire extended family gets together in a public manner. While the Queen’s actual birthday is in April, it is celebrated every year in June, with the official description listed as “a great display of military precision, horsemanship and fanfare”
Meghan looked lovely in a dark blue ensemble, with sapphire, navy, and peacock tones. The navy look was true to her signature style, featuring an oversized cape-style coat, paired with an elegant hat, leather gloves, and a quilted clutch. For the iconic balcony appearance, Meghan removed her cape-style coat to reveal a modern navy dress with unique color-block shoulder details. Meghan also debuted a delicate silver band alongside her wedding and engagement ring, possibly a gift to mark the birth of little Archie!

I’m so happy to see her looking so radiant!
Lauri says
Isn’t she just Em? While she always has a natural glow about her, motherhood brought it to 11!

She’s wearing a third ring with her engagement and wedding ring today, perhaps a push present or 1st anniversary eternity ring? Any info on that would be great

I saw a small photo on another site, and I am trying to post a photo, with no luck.
I think it was a present for Prince Harry for either their 1st anniversary or the birth of little Archie as well. Any info would be great, I agree.!!1

Oh it’s so good to see Meghan again! It seems that motherhood agrees with her as she’s glowing more than usual.
I really like this dress/coat on her and the long gloves add a bit of interest, even though she didn’t wear them for very long. I’ve noticed that she is becoming quite the glove fan, perhaps they will become one of her signature pieces similar to the Queen and her brooches.
Thanks to Meghan I’ve incorporated more navy blue into my wardrobe and am loving having another neutral color to work my accessories around.

In the carriage she looks like her mother. Thats sweet.
But I have to say she looks tired, maybe Archie doesn’t sleep well now.
Again a navy blue Givenchy ensemble, I prefer her more colourful ensembles.
I wondered a bit about the gloves. Why is she waving with them on in the carriage? I thought only the Queen and Camilla are doing this?

Lovely to see the Duchess again today. She still has a real glow about her. Personally I love the navy blue. I just love the long gloves she has, my dear mother use to wear them back in the day but as Lauri said It may become a renowned piece like brooches as per the Queen (I love brooches too, and try and incorporate them when I can) For me they really finish off a outfit, it oozes elegance.

So great to get a glimpse of the Duchess again. She does look radiantly happy, though I am sure she is exhausted ! As to her look today, I love the colour on her, but the simplicity comes across as too severe and the scale is awkward on her small frame. The fabric is so thick, the sleeves are so short, and and leather gloves for a June event ? It must be cold in London at the moment! Good to see you and your beautiful smile Meg, you look happy to be out in the world again and we’re happy to see you.

She does look radiation, although from what little I can see from the balcony photo, I prefer the dress without the cape. I do not think the cape was very flattering. I also think the teal clutch does not pair well with navy, either. I am all about mixing up accessories, but there are colors that complement navy, and teal isn’t it.
But good to see her back and happy 🙂

It’s nice to see her again! I’m not a fan of the outfit – pretty dark/somber for a birthday in June. I thought the white crepe looks like the tissues makeup artists put around the neckline when they’re applying makeup and don’t want to get it on your clothes.

I am not a fan of the outfit, it seems out of place on a nice summer day in June. The colour is too somber (and boring as we’ve seen it multiple times), and the cut isnt great. Even givenchy wont buy you great taste
Deborah says
Nice to see the Duchess out and about but I have to agree with LAI YIN YIN, the navy comes across as too somber for such a celebration on a beautiful spring day! I can’t comment too much on the cut or style of the ensemble because we see so little of it. A full skirt, pleated, hi-low?Who knows?
Julie says
I agree as well, this color is too somber and the hat doesn’t suit her. I also really don’t like the cape as it makes the whole outfit seem very matchy-matchy, which is not very chic.
I have to say that since that since joining the royal family, Meghan’s look has mostly been a miss for me. I keep following her as every so often there will be a hit (the trip to Ireland when she wore the pantsuit and black Emilia Wickstead dress was a high point, for example), but for the most part she seems to be spending a lot of money on clothes without conveying any real style. Maybe over time this will improve?

Have just read that these earrings are the same ones that she wore to the Lion King premiere, the black onyx surround can be removed!
