This morning, Meghan and Harry visited the University of the South Pacific in Suva, where they took in a cultural performance on the effects of climate change before meeting students from the campus.
Harry is expected to make a short speech – as is Meghan!

What did you think of Meghan’s look for a trip to the University of the South Pacific?

Yes, we know the DoS loves some ruffles. However, I feel like there’s a lot going on with this outfit. The clutch works with the shoes but not the dress. I’m also imagining this hairdo working better with last night’s cape dress. Just my two cents.

Duchess of Sussex brought out the colours, luv ittttt!!!!!. Her speech was inspiring spoke with such confidence and clarity and best of all she clapped back. Now we know how she was able to obtain her degrees.

Didn’t her dad pay for her Uni studies?
Savi says
Didn’t her father lied about many things? The Duchess Sussex set the record straight. I don’t think she would go on an international stage to lie, knowing the world is watching
I’m sure when the media contact Northwestern University they will be in agreement, if they are in the capacity to do so.

Agree. Black/canvas wedge look too casual with the dress, navy strap sandal would work best. Also that beautiful cape gown and HRM’s earrings warranted an updo!
Stacey says
Absolutely love, love the colour, style and fit. A true island dress. Beautiful!!

The tiered ruffles are too much for me, but I like the color and pattern. The fresh flowers in her hair, which you can’t see here, were a lovely touch.

Wow, what a different outfit for Meghan, but I have to say that I love it!! I get that she prefers neutral colors and clean, sleek lines but sometimes you just want to bust out the flounce, ruffles and color! And how great is that clutch?
I just watched Meghan’s speech and am blown away at what a great public speaker she is! The timing and elocution of her speech was spot on! When I was younger I loved public speaking but as I’ve gotten older and menopause has upped my anxiety, public speaking is a chore 🙁 I’m hoping that as time goes on I’ll be able to take part in something that once gave me so much joy. Anyhow, Meghan inspires me to not give up and continue to work toward speaking comfortably in public once again!

Perfect for the occasion. Nice to see color and a print.

I loved her speech. She got a scholarship and worked her way through university. What an inspiration.

A big contrast to last evening’s blue gown, this dress suits the tropical vibe but a bit too flouncy for me. Shoes could have been a better colour but she carries the overall look off well, especially the flowers in her updo.

So, for the very first time, I am not a fan of the Duchess Meghan’s outfit. But here’s why. I don’t really like prints in my personal life (in my closet you’ll find a smattering of color blocks, leopard print, black/white stripes and polka dots – but NO floral prints). I just find them to busy to my eye. I know that this type of print and color were chosen for this event with the Fijian’s to fit in with the local style, however.
Having said that, the shape and pom pom details on the dress are lovely and perfect for a growing midsection in a tropical local. But with a petite person like the Duchess, this type of dress overwhelms the frame (even with the wedges) so it doesn’t flatter her figure. You just have to have height in my opinion to wear this best.
Again, because I don’t like prints/floral prints the dress paired with the black & white print clutch is too busy and doesn’t match the outfit. Same for the black wedges.
I think she would have looked much better in this same style dress in a solid bright pink, yellow, green or blue (which all look amazing on her), along with a small tan/beige clutch perhaps in a straw or other natural texture and tan/beige wedges. I know the Duchess will wear some more knock out pieces for the tour though! 🙂

Love the dress and print. She looks fab but shoes and bag do not complement the dress. Frangipani in hair a lovely touch but pink ones would have been a knockout.
Gigi says
Oh I do love the concept of this, but the dress is gorgeous overpowering her – possibly without those voluminous sleeves?
