Today, Meghan was in New York City to watch her friend, Serena Williams, play in the finals of the US Open. Meghan has long supported her friend playing tennis (you’ll remember she watched Serena at Wimbledon earlier this year)
Meghan stepped out in a very on-trend western style dress from J. Crew, with a cozy long cardigan and matching Carolina Herrera tote. Many will remember the Carolina Herrera tote which we last saw on Meghan’s last trip to NYC. We loved the budget-friendly, casual yet put-together look that Meghan wore today. She was every inch the stylish, supportive friend while still looking like the refined, put-together Duchess we know and love.

Love Meghan’s look today? We asked the team to come up with some of their favourite #MirrorMeg options:
What did you think of Meghan’s look for the US Open?
Lisa Mac says
It must be particularly nerve-wracking to choose an outfit when you know you’ll be seated with Anna Wintour, never mind having the eyes of the world on you. This one seems a bit of a muddle to me: the casual, fresh dress gets flattened by the heavy grey sweater (e.g., the sweater’s lapels over the dress’s chest pockets) while the large structured bag says “business trip”. It also seemed awkward that Meghan was rooting so clearly for her American friend when her opponent, Bianca Andreescu, is a member of the Commonwealth – really shows the challenge of balancing her multiple roles. Thank you for your fast thorough coverage!

Casual, but refined. I love what the Duchess of Sussex is wearing. Lovely to see her supporting her friend

I wonder what type of shoes she wore. Did anyone get a look?

I am not a fan of denim dresses but she makes it work. I love the sweater but I think it is too heavy to be worn over denim, another heavy fabric. If you aren’t going to utilize the sleeves anyway, just wear a wrap.
I really love the earrings and haven’t found a suitable dupe. My usual go tos, Etsy and Girjana, have failed me. 🙁

This was the people choice, to love the outfit Meghan wore, Meghan wore what was comfortable on her, she was only there to support her dear friend Serena Williams not to win any fan fair. Duchess Meghan has always told the public about herself as far as being casual and comfortable, she stated “I’m the most comfortable when I’m in Jean’s, shorts, and my husband shirt. 99% of her time is spent at work and she dresses up pretty. But Americans dress casual when they attend sports events. So they majority of the people loved what Duchess Meghan wore, it’s the way American dress too.
