But who is Dean Davidson? He is, indeed, a real person. Davidson studied at the Alberta College of Art and Design and worked alongside Paul Hardy to develop a capsule collection before launching his own eponymous line. Davidson was inspired by a trip to South Africa, and eventually was led to India where he developed his collection.

Dean Davidson’s pieces are crafted in Jaipur, India, in a traditional family-owned workshop. A father and grandfather team work as master gem cutters, expertly crafting each gemstone. The team spans three generations, with decades of experience. The artisan workshop has even been known to create custom pieces for India’s royal family – Meghan isn’t the only royal who loves these pieces!
