We recently came across some photos taken back in March 2015 when Meghan Markle visited Malta. The photos were from a winery in the region, Meridiana Wine Estate. Meghan spent an afternoon and some wine tasting. The trip was arranged by the Malta Tourism Authority as part of her visit to the country on behalf of Elle Magazine.

What we found so great about these photos is at the core essence of what we love about Meghan Markle’s wardrobe and style. No matter the setting or the event, she always looks put together. The look for the winery visit is as simple as it gets: a t-shirt and jeans. Where Meghan takes it from a look you could schlep around the house in to a winery photoshoot ready look is through the addition of a luxe coat (The ‘Manuela’ by Max Mara) and some delightful bow flats. She elevates the everyday in a way that is all her own, and shows just how comfortable she is in herself.

If you’re curious about additional details from Meghan’s trip to Malta, she did have a few quotes to share why she was so excited to visit, as well as what she loved about it (hint: her self-professed foodie title might give it away)
” … coming to Malta has been really important to me because my great-great-grandmother lived here, so we’ve been trying to trace the ancestry. Before I came, people were telling me, ‘When you go to Malta, everyone will look like you,’ and I started to say, ‘Oh my gosh I do sort of blend in,’ and it’s the loveliest feeling: people have been so kind, the food’s amazing and the culture … I can’t wait to come back, it’s too short a time.”
And as to one of the things that truly impressed her?
” … just the freshness of the produce, like the beautiful tomatoes, the exceptional wine and the cheeses! I could spend the whole week here eating.”
Maybe not until after the wedding… 😉
How exciting, I have similar pieces of this outfit in my closet!! I’m always thrilled when I can put together Meghan-inspired outfits with clothes that I already own.
My only quibble about this look is the coat, I just feel that it’s a bit too heavy looking for a short sleeve t-shirt. I think a trench coat would have looked better with the t-shirt and jeans.
Thank you dear MM for giving us a variety of price points with the Mirror Meg items!! I like being able to choose between spending a bit more on an investment piece or spending less on a piece that I’m only going to use occasionally or maybe for just this season.

Wow, Ms. Markle appears to really love the “high life”! A winery visit in Malta on behalf of Elle Magazine? A 2600.00 plus change coat, Jimmy Choo shoes and a 1500.00 watch! Doubt if we will see Meghan carrying a 39.00 handbag anytime soon! Not disputing some of her fashion choices; I have always been a big fan of a camel coat: but does she wear anything twice? This coat looks very similar to the two belted coats she has worn in the past few months. At least Kate recycles her clothes! Ditto on the torn jeans.
Why shouldn’t Meghan wear nice clothes? If I earned money through my own hard work and became a millionaire like she is, I would wear these beautiful classic pieces. Kate never earned millions in her own right, right?
Exactly! A woman who worked and bought her own stuff through her own money, is not allowed to live and dress to her as she see fits? And clearly Deborah has not been following Meghan for long or else she would have know Meghan repeats and re-wears like any other person. Or is it because she not repeating her outfits every time she goes out, so people can call her “thrifty”?
Why and how am I just seeing this post now lol? How beautiful is she?! Meghan looks so at home and relaxed. Her look is perfect.
