We’ve seen numerous stories lately about with copy along the lines of how lucky a girl would be to would be “walk in Meghan’s shoes for a day”. Funnily enough, avid readers of the Tig from back in 2014 would say that Meghan once had the same thought about her day – and shared just what a day in her life (in shoes) looked like…. And we’re here to share it with you on today’s TIG Throwback!
With the Tig having shut down, we were saddened that several years of archives – including amazing tips from Meghan herself on her fashion & beauty choices – would be lost to the depths of the internet. We were able to track down the archives and today we’re sharing them with you in today’s instalment of the Meghan’s Mirror Tig Throwback Thursdays series.
Meghan’s shoe game has long been the stuff of legend – like the amazing shoe closet below (which are all IDed here). Meghan shared that many people were curious about were the shoes that went on her feet during one of her busy days between the set, events and mundane daily tasks like errands.
Seeing what a day in her shoe life looked like was something that Meghan shared with the readers of the Tig back in 2014. Here’s what Meghan had to say of one of her days in shoes:
Some days I wear one lone pair of shoes, and others, my toes are caught in a fashion flurry of beautiful footwear from day to night. On this particular day, I had the luxury of slipping out of my go-to Jack Purcell kicks in favor of looks of the high fashion persuasion. From Chanel, to Blahniks & McQueen on set for Suits, to some beauties from Gianvito Rossi for an event at night, it was a Cinderella glass slipper kinda day at its finest.
So just what were the shoes upon Meghan’s feet that Cinderella glass slipper day?
The day started off with errands in a pair of chic, black Chanel flats.
Next in Meghan’s day was a shoot for Suits, in a pair of bi-colour brown Alexander McQueen pumps (which are sadly no longer available, similar style in black)
And next? A style and texture possibly familiar to those of watching her royal style now? A pair of grey suede BB Manolo Blahnik pumps.
And yes, this is the THIRD colour we’ve seen on Meghan! Here are the others:
And for a night out, after a day of work? Meghan chose a pair of Gianvito Rossi PVC pumps which we have seen several other times before.
We had 2 favourite things revealed in the article. 1 – Meghan has been a fan of the Manolo Blahnik BB suede pump for years, and 2 – we also know one of her favourite casual shoes for wearing around, from 2014 anyway, revealed in her quote at the start of the article: these Jack Purcell sneakers!
We’d love to hear your thoughts on #TigTBT – are you loving these articles? Wishing they had more lifestyle, beauty or travel focus? We’d love to hear your thoughts on the articles… And, of course, the shoes!

Thanks for a great post about one of my favorite subjects MM! I love Meghan’s shoes, expect the Gianvito Rossi PVC pumps as I don’t like that much toe showing, but gosh almost none of them look very comfortable. When I was much younger I could literally run in 4 inch heels, now I can barely make it 10 feet. lol! Meghan has a quite a number of basic pumps but in fun colors and more than enough interesting types of heels to not get bored with her shoe game.

I agree with Lauri! What a fun post MM, thanks for posting these Archives, I admittingly didn’t know Meghan before she started dating Harry, but had The Tig been brought to attention I would have loved it! Thanks for sharing it now!

Agreed, a big NO on PVC. And yeah, from the angle of her shoe selfies, they all look incredibly painful. I am glad I switched over to flats, and I am glad Meghan wears flats fairly regularly to give me flat-inspiration 🙂

How can we get to buy? I mean the low heels. Please. Thank you for your response

Hi Esther,
Thanks for the note – do you mean the Chanel flats?

I love these Tig throwbacks. I too never followed Suits or knew who Meghan was. Great to see the earlier years.
